  1. Seems folk are starting to see a few things that some of us have been saying for years...
  2. Going to make a concerted effort to get to KK's meeting, but I'll probably give up and coast back home not far in to the journey.
  3. Not quite sure what you mean here.. Age isn't and hasn't been a problem for PK. My point is that when a team like Wolves are faced with keeping two of Lindgren, Woffinden and PK, they are going to side with the younger rider.
  4. Then that is the fault of Eurosport and their inability to get the sound mix right.
  5. Sorry but you have completely lost me, you seem to be merging both the old Tac sub and the current Tac ride together.
  6. I fail to see where an event is held makes any difference whatsoever. I assume you expect BBC/ITV to show no bias towards England should they reach the World Cup in Brazil. Or show any bias when Europe are playing the US in the Ryder Cup on American shores. One person who doesn't get enough credit is Jacko. It's all well and good having the engine tuned but the setup on the night is just as crucial and Jacko, his chief mechanic will play a huge part in this. Totally agree with your assessment of the meeting, it was very poor racing wise. Not that I am too concerned at the moment, I'm just cheering Tai on.
  7. You must have been most annoyed when the commentators got so excited at British gold medals in the Olympics.
  8. A discussion forum seems to be the wrong place for you. Same tired old excuse.. trotted out everytime.. "Oh if bridger wasn't involved".. Well he was, just as he so often is.. that's the whole point. You haven't got a point. You're trolling to get Poole into the thread once again when its got nothing to do with Poole or Darcy Ward. The incidents are not even the tiniest bit similar either.
  9. Which riders do in every race, including riders like Hancock. However, the rider behind will normally back off and not try to ride through a non-existent gap. Emil was at fault.
  10. Ah, so all the witnesses saw something that didn't happen. Bridger took to twitter to ramble incoherently about something that didn't happen. After all he only 'put his head to Lamberts head'. Ah well, Boyce only put his hand to Gollobs head too. The tweets from Bridger after the meeting summed him up in a nutshell and he was revelling in the attention of those egging him on.
  11. Wolverhampton as a club have excellent continuity to be fair. It's only due to points limits, which are a necessary evil that riders such as Sam Ermolenko, Ronnie Correy, Peter Karlsson, Adam Skornicki have ever rode for another club. PK especially has been a victim so many times when, simply due to his age he would be left out in favour of riders like Tai and Freddie.
  12. That would make more sense, but still irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.
  13. No they won't. Only a few ignorant ones would. Holder was a long way behind Woffinden already, and as Woffindens scoring has continued unabated there is little chance he could have made any inroads. Woffinden is already AHEAD of Emil, despite crashing out of one GP himself (losing 5-6 pts min) in the process, plus riding with an injury after that.
  14. Not the hardest of questions as Freddie Lindgren had his testimonial this year.
  15. Utter utter rubbish. This is a story in the public domain, that Bridger is quite happy to be in the public domain as his endless tweets demonstrated last night.
  16. And as per the norm you fail to mention Bridgers own admission of "I put my head to his head".
  17. Sadly this thread just highlights the state of the BSF. We have a newsworthy incident here worthy of discussion. It's clearly happened as there are several witnesses and riders involved have tweeted about it.... However, of course certain trollers decide to just launch an attack on one of the posters. It's perfectly relevant to be in the EL section. Lewis Bridger is an EL rider. Many would not even have seen news of the incident if it was just contained in the NL thread.
  18. It can't be so though.. some tell us the riders ride for our entertainment! Ah you're referring to a meeting that finished 53-40.. fair enough, take of the 3pts from the tac ride. 50-40. Same result, 3 pts to Kings Lynn. The old system, although most us prefer it as we grew up with it was so much unfairer. Lets say you are riding a team with a big top 2. You gradually extend your lead until you get to Heat 13 and you are 8-10 pts up. Current system you fancy your chances, as even allowing for 2 5-1's again in 13 and 15, you're stronger in heat 14. Not so in the old system... a 4-2 or 5-1 (depending if they away team was 8 or 10 down as they would ensure they are 6 down going into heat 14) in 13.. a double tac sub in heat 14, a race the home team on paper were going to gain an advantage in.. suddenly its a 5-1 to the away team.. then the same pairing come out again to finish the job in heat 15. Top heavy teams were far far more favoured under the old system.
  19. I don't disagree with you, indeed I would have thought it was safer as most speedway crashes are in the first turn when 4 riders hit the bend together. Fact remains though, some riders wouldn't take them. Jason Crump to name one.
  20. In principle its a good idea as it makes riders work and earn the extra points. Sadly some riders used to refuse to take the ride, citing it as 'dangerous'. It certainly never bothered Peter Karlsson
  21. So you prefer a more unfair system? Its amusing, we get this every time. Complaints of the current system being unfair and how we should revert back to the old way of doing it which was a hell of a lot more unfair.
  22. Yes it is fair. The rules are the same for all teams (most of the time ). Of course you might prefer to watch more meetings like Poole V Lakeside, which tactical riders and the league scoring system go a long way towards preventing happening on a more frequent basis.
  23. So you want to lower the quality even further. We've seen the success of that business model over the last 5 or 6 years in the Elite League.
  24. So you feel that in order to cut costs they should have scrapped the nominated heats and thus reduced the value the paying customer is/was getting even further?
  25. Well you can't legislate for Agent Watt
