  1. Yeah it would be fantastic! Just the sort of decision making progress that has the sport where it is now in the UK. On its knees desperately struggling to survive.
  2. Woffinden's decision to not ride for GB is the best thing to happen for GB as a team in decades. It has caused an immediate overhaul of how the national team is run.. for the better. As for the pairing, on current form at Manchester.. Woffinden and Bewley. What a future GB has with those two.
  3. I haven't yet had the opportunity to see the Belle Vue mascot 'Chase the Ace' in action but have seen some glowing reports from some members of the forum. If it's increasing crowd participation and helping with the atmosphere, that's a step in the right direction. Wolverhampton used to have Mr Wolf back in the day who was great.. unfortunately any attempts to replace him have fallen very flat indeed.
  4. Exactly, which is why I've long said, it's not necessarily the racing. MikeBV sums a lot of it up, it's something I've been saying for 20 years!
  5. I think you misunderstood me. Belle Vue is an awesome track, the racing there is fantastic most if not all weeks. If that place isn't booming every week, what hope is there for the sport? It should be booming every week, it deserves to be booming every week. If I still lived in the UK I'd be going there as much as possible, not just when Wolves visited.
  6. I think Shovlar and Starman are far bigger culprits with regards to the general dislike of Poole across the forum.. aside from Matt Ford himself that is! Steve readily admits himself he posts to enflame.. make a post, sit back and watch the action unfold. In reality he's a great guy you can chat endlessly to about the sport. As for Poole, there's little doubt they will do everything possible to turn things around, long way to go yet in the season.
  7. No it's not banter when you pm folk with veiled insinuations that they are not revealing their identity, because they may have been 'close to SCB' a convicted paedophile, or have a private facebook account because they may have 'something to hide' when the conversation was about paedophilia is well over the line. As for meet ups, forum members are meeting up with each other every week all over the country. Perhaps they just don't want to meet up with you? Just joking, I'm sure like most others you're fine in person
  8. I would never advocate that. Recent events with a popular poster should show you have no idea who you are dealing with.. even when you actually know them! Some people are happy to give their names, some aren't. The most important thing is it should be THEIR choice. Anyone who makes it a mission of theirs to 'expose' someone is out of line. If you don't like posts or feel a certain poster is being rude/aggressive, out of order, there is a report button. There is also an ignore option if you really don't want to read someones posts.
  9. Well if you can't laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at. I know I'm not many folks cup of tea and I post very directly but as I've said many times I'll happily chat, have a drink with and talk speedway with pretty much anyone from this forum and indeed have done so with many, some of whom you might think that we hate each others guts.
  10. There we have the kind of character The Doctor is. So that's another poster he is using the crimes of SCB to label others with. Utterly sick.
  11. I think Dean is simply worn down by the politics and the way the sport has been run in this country. Eventually you get to a point where no matter how good something is, you won't want to know.
  12. Nice version, unfortunately for you, there is more of course, plus all your posts deleted by the mods. You get a kick from naming people, good for you. Unfortunately it made no difference with me as I'll happily meet anyone of the forum for a chat about speedway. Ask Foreverblue, he messaged, said he'd be at Wolverhampton and we watched a meeting together. Seems some take things far too seriously.
  13. Correct. Simply don't reply, or ignore or even block.
  14. No much the same did not happen at all. I increased my privacy settings because to be frank, I'm not keen on obvious nutters stalking me. Many folk know who I am on this forum, I've spoken to many of them in person including Steve Shovlar and Foreverblue from Poole. So your attempts to 'rumble me' are childish and ineffective. I seriously have to question your mindset if you get on off that sort of thing, but hey ho. I suggest you discontinue your course of action, including the PM's you have sent as you are on very shaky legal ground given the topic that was under discussion and the vile insinuations you were making, however veiled you think they may have been. As is your partner in crime Pinny, whose PM was far more direct to me and would see him charged immediately and would put his current job in Australia in great jeopardy. The moderators removed your posts because they were against forum rules.
  15. As has already been pointed out, the ball isn't in play for 90 mins. It's more around 50 mins. As for 'ridiculously' over priced.. I fail to see how something is 'ridiculously' overpriced if it is packing in the crowds.
  16. And as I said, if it's not for you, Speedway isn't for you.
  17. I'm afraid you have utterly lost the plot. I've been to the NSS twice, yes, they were playoff matches so somewhat different but the atmosphere on the back straight was electric. The racing is head and shoulders above ANYTHING else in the UK. If the NSS is not for you, you're no speedway fan. Period.
  18. You would have thought so... but, until Belle Vue are booming, it doesn't really hold water unfortunately.
  19. Why would I say it? R/R for Howarth weakens us a lot, I stand by that. That doesn't mean that Howarth is going to be better than the RR riders every time, nor the other way round. The simple fact is, before a wheel is turned no Wolves fan would have wanted RR for Howarth. If the match was to take place again tomorrow, we still wouldn't want RR for Howarth and our team would be weaker. As I said, it was always academic anyway as Belle Vue are far too good. Anyway little point in us going round in circles, I accept your point, it made no difference at all in the actual meeting.
  20. You can be weakened and it not effect the score.. we're that poor to begin with! I've explained the rationale in my post, none of the three would have done better in Howarth's first two rides for sure. Realistically only the race he was excluded in might they have improved things. The reality is, as I said, Belle Vue were far too good, as I said they would be all along.
  21. Indeed it is, except your conclusion doesn't really add up. Not a cat hells chance of Heeps or Morris finishing any better than Howarth in his first two rides. He then finished ahead of Morris in his 3rd. Indeed, it seems he gave Bewley one his toughest races (discounting Heat 15). Schlein was 5-1'd by Cook and Bewley as Howarth was. Only really his 4th ride could they have done better as Howarth was excluded. Reality is, it didn't really matter and never was going to matter. Wolves side simply not good enough away from home and especially at the NSS.
