Line up for final grand prix qualifier
garf replied to Govinder's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Yes Garf, according to FIM rulebook it's the same as in the qual. rounds and semifinal rounds. Thanks Tomaz. As usual you are very well informed. You have saved my a.. a few times. Thanks again. -
Not Zetters but anyway... He was among the top riders during practise, togehter with Polish rider Pawel Hlib and Dane Kenneth Bjerre, even though it´s very hard to get a grip on all riders when just practising, one by one. The three riders I mentioned all went for the dirt on the outside which should be necessary towards the end of the meeting. Initially, the inside line will be better but as the meeting progress, the grip should move wider towards the fence. We have a great meeting ahead of us. Any "LIVE UPDATE" FROM THE MEETING ?

How is the format of the meeting ? An ordinary one with 2 SEMIs and a FINAL ? -
Morten was very good in todays practice at Vetlanda. Beat Kennett and Heffenbrock easily in the gatingsessions! Hi Zetters! Vil der være en "LIVE UPDATE" fra dagens match ?

You don't have to. He has just had the unluck to have been injured for a while, which made the decission even easier for Jacob to select the riders. -

He is in the team, but if he is riding is a Coach-decission. -

And the Danish National Team's homepage doesn't. Look here : http://www.teamspeedway.dk/page_control.asp?page_nbr=6 They have just changed it so the Star was right. Morten is replacing Jesper B Jensen as he is going to be a father in the very near future. http://www.teamspeedway.dk/page_control.asp?page_nbr=500 -
Yeah, hopefully you are right here.

Danish National Team vs UK National Team
garf replied to garf's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
But this is a Test Match and doesn't fall into either of those categorys And so ? And so, Garf, little Morten CAN ride for Team DK next Monday, as a Test Match isnt a GP or SWC meeting... still is the national coach to set the team, and not some UK Bee-supporters. -
As said on his homepage : One can't expected that KB will score 10-12 points in every match through the whole season. KB had his "OFF-DAY" ot the season, and it might as well be due to the cancellations of the matches in the UK that he did loose a bit of the usual "Gating-edge".

Pretty good reason. -

It might be because the national coach believes in Charlie, and wants him to get some heats in the body before the SWC. But I still believe he is way better than Ronni, and Morten is so young he will still get the chance. -
Hi Nina ! If one should go and look for a certain person in Austria on the internet, do you have a link or adress to a search-machine to do so ?

Denmark is going to the match against England o the 19 th of Juli with following riders : 1. Hans Andersen 2. Jesper B. Jensen 3. Bjarne Pedersen 4. Kenneth Bjerre 5. Nicki Pedersen (Team captain) 6. Niels-Kristian Iversen 7. Charlie Gjedde Taken from : http://www.teamspeedway.dk/page_control.asp?page_nbr=498 The Danish national team's homepage.

You always seems to know about the "LIVE UPDATEs" Tomaz, so I'll hope someone will be able to help you here.
-
What does this exactly mean ? As I read it, you say that the countries marked with an * are only having a "TEAM-CHAMPIONSHIP". Is it to be understood so that you mean they don't have any individual championships ?

WTC Squads
garf replied to howe and stead foreva's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Not necessarily in that order IMO. I believe the mainteam should be found within these first 5 : Nicki Pedersen Bjarne Pedersen Hans Andersen Kenneth Bjerre PUK Jesper B. Jensen Charlie Gjedde Ronni Pedersen Morten Risager -
In Sweden tonight, Kenneth scored 13 points in 6 heats, and might have taken the track-record as well if he had taken the other bike from the start. Furthermore Kenneth scored more points than almost all the other riders ind the round in Sweden this evening. Another good performance of Kenneth.

...Always possible to find an open store... Unless you go out early. Apart from the 7 eleven always being open Swedes and the Danes don't seem to be in any hurry to get to work. I did enjoy the trip thanks. (despite your weather) Prices depend where in the UK you are, and what sort of place you're going to. (dodgy local pub or a city bar) Maybe £2.50 would be a decent average. (local pubs usually have a £1 a pint night) A Breezer would cost me no more than £3 here. We have a similar chain to the 7 eleven (Spar) and they're not the cheapest either. It would be maybe 90p for a 500ml bottle of coke, and maybe 40-45p for a Mars/Twix etc in there. As you can see even comparing 'like for like' you guys pay way too much. Yeah to much taxes and vat.
-
Then have a trip to Denmark then. Always possible to find an open store in almost all villages.
-
Alcohol and beers are always very expensive in Norway and Sweden. And 7 eleven has never been the cheapest places to buy anything in. How much is a pint of good beer in UK ? At least I hope you enjoyed your stay in Denmark anyway. Cya

This is probably not the prizes in a store or supermarket, rather the prize in a bar or similar. Definitively not as bad as Sweden though.
