  1. They don't need to say anything. In 1987 a behind closed doors practice would never even get heard about. But these days with social media, things leak onto the Internet and then everyone gets the wrong end of the pineapple (© Dave Lanning) and before you know it, there's 20 pages on it.
  2. The idea of behind closed doors practices is that it's private. Nobody needs to know who went, who didn't and why not. By announcing it, people would turn up and then there'd be a thread dedicated to how people wasted their petrol money and what a state speedway is in. Robert72 is obviously very busy, which is why he didn't attend the practice that wasn't practice 😝
  3. Then his mum woke him up and said "come on, or you'll be late for school knobhead"

  5. I doubt it. Nielsen has ruled him out for the rest of this year's competition.
  6. Does anyone even care? Let's face it, I don't know any riders or ex-riders that would have that kind of mentality. By the way, I'm an ex-Hollywood movie star....
  7. I've seen a few GB suits on eBay in the past, Bridger, Kennett, etc with description saying "worn once for practice" I think they have a couple with no sponsors on too just in case.
  8. Ellis would have ridden Belle Vue at the British Final.. No wait..... 😋
  9. It was only a couple of years ago that riders from teams in the play off semis we're guesting for other teams who were also in the play off semis. As I recall there was then a rule introduced to stop it happening again.
  10. I think we've established by now that Robert72:Is not a rider Never was a rider Will never reveal his identity Will never stump up £10k Will never confront Tai Woffinden Talks bollocks for fun Has never had a girlfriend Is a troll Has no social life Has a mental age of 12 Will keep reeling you all in for months to come Is laughing at you all behind his keyboard If you don't reply to him he will get bored and disappear eventually. But I think you'd miss him if he wasn't here or you would ignore him.
  11. I used to think Cook was just a gater but I have seen him make some great moves from the back in the last couple of years. Where Cook may rely largely on his gating, what does Harris have to rely on? He can't gate at this level too often so the best you can hope for is him is to score from the back, which won't be easy. Cook over Harris for me all day long.
  12. I might have missed it because I only scanned through the posts but I can't see Neil Collins name. He was the first one I thought of, a career spanning almost 30 years he must be up there?
  13. Facking isn't banned and it sounds a lot less ridiculous than fecking.
  14. Even if you said "Go ahead", the legal age to have tattoos is 18 in UK.
  15. Serious question: How come people get so upset by Woffinden using swear words and yet 'fecking' appears to be perfectly acceptable just by changing the u to an e? Seeing as Tai changed the u to an a, 'facking' must also be perfectly acceptable?
  16. Ironically, this argument is just going round in circles. Robert72: I'm an ex-speedway rider. Everyone: OK prove it. Robert72: no you prove I'm not. Everyone: no you prove you are Repeat until death.
  17. He's good enough, just not old enough. Which I hadn't actually thought of because that would make him too young for SWC too.
  18. Wow! A post worth reading! I'd have Lambert in the team, take Worrall out (unfortunately) and have either Adam Ellis or dare I say it, Jack Parkinson-Blackburn at reserve. I did. I said it.
  19. He has.... So no further proof needed. Case closed.
  20. So you understand where I'm coming from then.. 1. He was already aware. You know this site is littered with speedway people? 2. After speaking to him, he asked me to set the record straight so clearly it does bother him and I can understand that even if you can't. 3. It didn't cost me anything. This is 2016. 4. If it's not that big a deal, why are you getting involved?
