Agree. A NL team dropping a British lad to fit in a foreigner....disgraceful from Eastbourne.
-
They're keeping him waiting. It's what all the young governing bodies are doing these days.
-
Are you a psychiatrist now? Probably best not to mention tying people to beds on the Darcy Ward thread.
-
Done his sentence, but committed no crime? But bad mistakes, he's made a few. He's had his share of sand kicked in his face, but he'll come through. What about Keith Chegwin? Hasn't he blocked you? Apparently he steals people's jokes on twitter, blocks the person and then posts the joke as his own.

I just hope that the petitiion arrives in Geneva on time. Can't imagine Kim Jong Un being happy if his views are ignored

A 12 month ban (regardless of which month it starts) covers an entire season whichever continent you're talking about, and I would say would be the correct punishment. If Ward is banned for 12 months and free to make his return in August, I'd say they've got it dead right.

What makes you think it's 18 months or nothing? I think a 12 month ban would make most sense.
-
I can't believe we've not had an update on the number of facebook friends Darcy has, or the number of people supporting his joke petition recently. I believe Kim Jong Un, Adolf Hitler and Oliver Reed are still the most popular of his petition supporters.

There's nothing to twist. (not in that perfectly clear bit of wording anyway - whether there's any other legal goings on regarding things that happened that weekend we can only but guess).
-
Nonsense. It isn't poorly worded at all. If it said "breath or blood" it would be poorly worded, because it wouldn't be clear if that meant the "exclusive or" or the "inclusive or". If both breath and blood tests were done, someone might try to argue that you can't do both, because it says "or" not both. (the exclusive or). So they have clarified (by use of 'and/or') that it means the "inclusive or". That is, it can be breath OR blood....but it can also be both. It's completely clear.
-
Wrong. Please quote where you got this from.
-
Try reading again. They need either (1) breath, (2) blood, or (3) both breath and blood. Yes, if it was one or the other it would say "breath or blood", but it's not one or the other. It's one or the other, or both. i.e. "breath and/or blood"

Don't mention the Ward. I mentioned him once, but I think I got away with it all right.
-
Don't mention the war! I mentioned it once, but I think I got away with it all right.
-
Thought he'd already been found not guilty of that one!

1950-1952.....At least we now know the cause of the Korean war.

I used to envy people who visit gyms for their fit and healthy approach to life. But now I know they're just people with nothing better to do because they're suspended from work and feeling remorseful for their alcoholism

Not sure whether this is the same petition that our resident nutter is prattling on about, because it's not on facebook, it's on some even dafter website called change.org, but it's a petition to allow Ward to ride....and it has 400 signees.....and if you look through the signatures, it's been signed by some well known names. https://www.change.org/p/fim-live-stop-the-ban-and-let-darcy-ward-race-in-2015 Have a read through the people who have signed. (Click on the "most popluar" tab rather than "latest"). It's been signed by some big names like Rolf Harris, Kim Jong Un, Stevie Wonder, Adolf Hitler, Oliver Reed and George Best!

Don't even understand why people are wasting time commenting on this pathetic "petition" (which isn't even a petition anyway), since:- a) It isn't a petition, it's a child's facebook post b.) It's badly written and not worthy of consideration c) It's factually incorrect and not worthy of consideration d) It's highly unlikely to be seen by anyone in power at the FIM or WADA as I doubt they trawl facebook posts e) If by any chance it was seen by someone at the FIM or WADA, they would take no notice of a child's facebook post anyway. Meanwhile, Justin Bieber's "Back in the studio...of course" post is now up to 61,536 retweets and 70,323 favourites. Now whilst we're on the subject of pointless social media drivel, I have been doing some research and note that all the main players have names for their sheep-like inane kiddiwink supporters. Justin Bieber's halfwit devotees are "Beliebers". Cheryl Cole's are "Soldiers". Lady Gaga's are "Monsters". Kylie Minogue's are "Lovers". One Direction's are "Directioners" So I think we need a name for the ill-educated sheep who want to get Darcy out of his current hole. Can I therefore suggest "Darceholes"?

The fact that it's libellous?

Seemed rude not to. 44,252 likes and 37,141 retweets now.

Justin Bieber just said "Back in the Studio....of course!" He's got 43,446 likes and 36,474 retweets so far. He's a knobhead too.
