Just seen a picture in our local paper of the crowd at The Hawthorns and while it may have looked younger than a speedway crowd there wasn't many youngsters, teenagers or even 20 year olds in it. Maybe it's not just a speedway problem. Even the crowds at darts are mainly middle aged and over

I've seen many great meetings at Monmore but some fans hate the place, never seen a great meeting at Poole or Swindon but some Poole fans especially will say it's the second best track in the country. Always enjoy my visits to both regardless

I watched a Polish meeting last night and the 2 minutes seems to mean ready to race rather than over here which seems to be 2 minutes to get on track then prat about for as long as you want. Seems an easy thing to put right. Polish commentator was awful though. What the he'll does 5 1er and 4 2er etc mean

Y eh I know but do you honestly think we will compete in the league again with the state the sports in, never mind trying to get our own place. Bit pessimistic of me I suppose but sometimes reality has to be faced. I think even Nigel said their hearts ruled their heads in competing in the trophy or maybe it was Patch. Can't be bothered with this one, I've seen Wolves away more times than us this year then again I've seen Wolves more time than us at home this year. I know others will disagree with me and I can understand why we entered the trophy but it's not a Cradley team just a select side. I hope they win obviously but what team would then face Mildenhall. Off to the pub instead

After last week's tv debacle was going to miss this one and go to Leicester/ Poole but have decided to risk it . Hope the tracks been sorted but don't see how it couldn't be better than last week. Fingers crossed

In some of the one offs I'd say maybe 10 riders had no chance of winning some years and in the gps although some have little chance of being wc I'd argue at least a dozen have a chance of winning a meeting

Last track done now great day out and thought Redcar did a great job, dusty obviously but without watering every two heats and then the meeting going on all night not much they could have done better. Will definately revisit for a league meeting

Rye House used to be good a few years ago

Enjoyed my trip to the OTA but easily the worst meeting I've ever seen there racing wise, keptt interesting by the score. No outside line especially later on. Never thought id say it about Somerset but if that was my first taste of speedway not sure I'd be back.

Hoping the drive down on the M5 is better on a Monday than the Friday nightmare, looking forward to a visit to the seaside before the meeting
