  1. Shame Eastbourne decided to drop down isn't it? They could have been champions this year.
  2. I bet that phone number is as busy as the" Carlsberg complaints line "
  3. Skidder, the ultimate Pirate. Only problem is that he seems to be wearing patches over both eyes.
  4. very similar to chatting at a Poole sponsors evening I would imagine....
  5. You would make a good children's story writer with stuff like that.
  6. I heard he packed in speedway promoting in order to take up a course on interpersonal communication skills. Judging by the standard of his posting on this forum I would suggest he failed the exams miserably.
  7. Are begging bowls standard issue by the BSPA nowadays then? There does seem to be a lot of them around presently.
  8. I read that Loomer Rd has been attacked by vandals. Apparently they caused £10,000 worth of improvements.
  9. How about a view from the opposite side of the fence? Time for the BSPa to demonstrate they want fans to go through the turnstiles, by giving them an honestly run sport that provides value for money entertainment. Then it might not be necessary to get the begging bowl out in order to survive.
  10. Is that a train ticket wedged into the peak of his cap?
  11. Plus trying to dodge paying for a train journey from Rugby quite recently and being spotted by the ticket inspector, who happens to be a speedway supporter.(Allegedly)
  12. TWK & Gote. " Should have gone to Specsavers"
  13. She would be much better on Eurosport though
  14. I heard a rumour Eurosport were interested.
  15. It was in an early report on the sky homepage, reporting on her resignation from Sheffield Utd. Sky have subsequently changed the wording of the report but it seems clear that she is no longer part of the sky team.
  16. That is unlikely , as she is now an ex sky presenter too.
  17. I find that a rather odd reply. You stated in an earlier post that the trackmans name was in the programme, but now you are suggesting he isn't the man. I wonder why all the secrecy?
  18. I'm not sure the current promotion need any help in that department to be honest.
  19. The Guy's name is Steve Austin according to the bees website. He certainly doesn't appear to be any six million dollar man though.
  20. Just think you could have added a few word puzzles on the reverse side, to keep you occupied during the long delays while all the various problems that are now a regular feature at brandon get sorted. Smack on
  21. So that you don't print your own programme and deny Mr H his extra income
  22. One point I would like to make on this topic, is that Coventry have had stock car racing for as long as I can remember. They have always managed to run the two sports very well in the past .The equipment to prepare the track is all there, indeed I expect everyone attending Brandon will have seen the big blade ( one serious piece of equipment). So why are we suddenly seeing such poor track preparation I wonder? Is it the staff, or is it the attitude of the stadium management?
  23. Our party of four went out to the GH. As always, a great day out at what is a wonderful speedway track. We based ourselves in Prague this time so spent the rest of our time sightseeing + wining & dining ,with plenty of "retail therapy" for the ladies. Well worth the effort for anyone thinking of going .With travel costs very low and extremely reliable, getting around CZ is very easy. If you are thinking about it then just do it !!! ps Always happy to offer any help if required.
  24. I'm not sure at all. There is something in my mind that I once read in the local press about the grandstand being protected in some shape or form. It may have been when the extension was added to the side of the original stand a few years ago. Perhaps others may know?
