  1. What has that fixture got to do with Sunday night---only thing about that fixture was it should have run after the track work
  2. soft on top and like concrete underneath you mean yes? The base is very hard at Scunny hence the water runs off to the corners
  3. did the snap chat show some really good passes and racing from some of the riders on a perfectly rideable and raceable track?
  4. Avery good point,he wasnt standing no messing last night,an attitude ``some`` could learn alot from
  5. Well done to the ref fo not standing no messing around, refreshing to see alot of riders lost the respect of the home fans with a terrible attitude last night, not all i will say but some a brilliant effort to get the track ready after the rain shower, even Teros mechanic giving it big licks with a brush, good lad Cook blasting through the tapes in heat one was expected, try that in a GP in Poland next year fella and im guessing you wouldnt get out the stadium in one piece Some races proved the track was not only rideable but raceable,--speical mention for Willianson and Sarj from the comets for having a go Auty showed his commitment again coming out and blasting around As an elderly gent said to me at the end, there`s riders and there`s racers, sadly to many of the former..........
  6. Just seen his heat 9 ride on BSAP site..what a brilliant ride that was, great to see,100% effort and very big balls---Quite rare these days!
  7. IN a word yes we do need them i see folks point about top of the league should be champions etc but there is no doubt the season is kept alive by having the chase for the play offs which is a good thing Also to finish in the top 4 can be expensive for the club, which ever league they are in so the chance to get some bumper crowds and claw a few quid back is handy
  8. Thats a hell of a marker put down by Ipswich ,over two legs in the playoffs they have to be favourites now
  9. His injury was a little sore so he sat it out.and a fine home debut it was from him to,certain Home riders could learn a thing or two I dont mind getting beaten by better teams, despite not such a successfull season ive still quite enjoyed my speedway this year but.......when supporters pay their £15 to go in they expect riders to try Yesterday i saw pain an simple, riders not trying and riders giving up, no ifs or buts, that was fact, the club and its fans deserve better ,alot better and would it be possible to have a home meeting where Tero`s bike doesnt break down? Well done to the Monarachs on a fine win
  10. I think it is important not to tar them all with the same brush Sure there seem to have been issues recently with some of the senior ones and Ward has bascially proved himself to the pr ick alot of people though he was but when i see the next Generation,Douglas,Frickle,Pickering,Heeps, etc you realy cant fault them at all and conduct themselves in a proper manner so credit due where credit due, with the exception of little Holder,he as treated British speedway and his club in a terrible manner
  11. Having known and seen Auty for a number of years now,if he withdrew from the meeting he would have to be hurt quite bad
  12. That is so true, one of the nicest guys in speedway and deserves all the success he gets
  13. Roses tinted classes, certainly not, wether you have a number one or not all start with same points limit of 40,having a No.1[what ever one of those is] mean less point to play with ,or scored elsewhere the 3 or 4 teams around us in the league have what you could argue the best riders in the league,Morris,Cook,Lambert,S.Worrall etc but are below midtable plus, pick a no1 changes are he will miss alot of meeting of meetings due to doubling up,and guests are not always easy to comeby, look at todays visting teams as an example when a team is build like ours the strong reserve needs to score well, and at the moment he isnt beating anyone bar reserves, After last night, also dont forget The diamonds are always strong at home, good home track advantage, and riders who go well there Well done Newcastle on a fine win also
  14. More to do with having a strong reserve who can only beat reserves...that's the problem
  15. Quote an enjoyable meeting last night, with some decent racing, the tac ride[which was a fab ride by Auty] kept scunny close enough until the final heats but all in all the Tigers the stronger outfit and deserved winners I was expecting a larger crowd for a team on such a good run though to be honest, althought not a bad one i was sure there would be a few more there Sheffield will certainly be in the mix to win the league, but will they have enough over two legs to take the title, for me Ipswich over two legs surely are in the box seat, the tigers need more from Bates and Kurtz in the middle order to win the league, without the help of a flyer in heat 1 kurtz was average at best,he needs to up his game Good luck in the playoffs
  16. how the hell can you blame one person such as Buster ever occured that the league promotors take these decisons collectively? isnt that the idea of having an AGM?
  17. Wolves had RR and they also didnt have a NO.8 it seems how the hell can anyone blame Buster for injuries is beyond me,nothing wrong with double headers and most of them pass without problem doesnt seem luck was on Lynns side last night ,the same could easily have happened to Wolves, and credit due, offering a fiver back is ok as i dont believe he actaully had to do that
  18. crowd was about the same i think yes less Boro travelling fans than normal i thought something the fans of Newcastle and Scunthorpe didnt get the chance to see because of Holder and the product devaluing promotion at Boro
  19. Not the greatest meeting racing wise but still enjoyable all the same what a fantastic crowd to,really pleasing to see and i think the BT coverage is really very good, the lady who presents it is well genned up on whats going on and does a fab job close score, good crowd and slick presentation---yet folk still talk speedway down--cheer the feck up!! as for Doyle indicating THJ is loopy----that didnt sit well at all on camera,...at least THJ was trying to make a pass, which i think is possibly more that Doyles sacked buddys would have done Well done Swindon on another fine win
  20. Its the double standards from Rathbone.....complain when he cant use BWD,then turns up without Holder through his own choice teams trying to re arrange fixtures with boro have struggle to get dates from them because Holder is missing......but of course when it suits him..... i dont really give a toss who gets banned or fined or what ever, what worrys me it a promotions openness to shaft his own fans and the rest of the league Holder signed for Boro at start of the season, and that is what it should be,bung or no bung
  21. if you think the weather forecast is a bit iffy for this one and you are thinking of going, one should be advised to check where the track is as you are clearly looking at a different forecast to the normal world
