Is Speedway Too Expensive Now ?
montie replied to Super Blue's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Interesting to hear the views from the Leicester promotion last night on the radio about the PL play off groups,Newcastle picking the two furthest away tracks and which then left the other side of the group with some hefty travel bills and basically took out the number who will travel to the meetings Although Newcasstle had every right to pick who they wanted, for the fans and clubs finances it was a stupid move -
Is it just me or does the whole of British speedway feel sorry for the Ipo fans having such a twht among them Good post, and a team that most fancied at the start of year

About the same amount then that would love to punch your light out at times then.. What is your gripe with the crowd levels at Scunny, you said i shouldnt worry about stuff yet this issue really seems to worry you The sad thing thing is i get the feeling that in your sad little mind you actually like crowd numbers to fall and clubs to struggle Which team is it you follow in the north,i never did quite catch that???

Rye V Stoke Part 2 Of Dbl Header 22/09/12
montie replied to BossMan's topic in National League Speedway
Is it a farce though when Rye had chance of running this meeting to get into playoff?? I agree Morrish has his faults but can you put the blame on him for not running in the run up to the cut off date?? -

Although you have a point about the running of the league,a change is needed,i still cant see why, with the date already extended to last wednesday, and with 4 empty dates,if the rye house promotion wanted the team in the play offs he could have run it one way or another. And as to questioning Len,if one of his riders ,your grandson i believe, cant ask him then its a bad job, As Vog rightly says Stoke did two on the trot to get them in If for financial reasons Mr Silver didnt want to loose anymore money running the NL,well to be honest i cant really argue with that either -

Did you ask Len why he didnt run this before the cut off date??,the four day previous to the cut of date? I feel for the youngsters at Rye house, they have done realy well this year -
Four lots of riders 2 pay 2 x home and 2 x away from one gate takings,i wouldnt want it thats a fact

I cant help thinking, with my finance head on,bit of bum draw Newcastle picking Leicester first, did the Leicester promotion a bad turn as more Scunny fans will go to BP than Newcastle, more Lecis fans will go to scunny, more Newcastle fans will go to Armadale than Scunny, same with Worky, Newcastle and somerset now have to run double headers which at Pl level are financial suicide i think Interesting time ahead either way, looking forward to it

No doubt both teams will pick the furthest away meeting for them then moan that they lost a fortune and crowds were shy te!!!!!!

Plymouth V Newcastle Pl Friday 21st September 2012
montie replied to dantodan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Well done Newcastle on finishing top of the league, done us by a point but fair play think over the 24 meetings they just deserved it,even with big home track advantage !! Play offs look wide open but,Newcastle look to be in the box seat to me
