  1. Back home after supporting the guys tonight, never go to Edinburgh with much expectations it’s such a unique track to ride. Big mention to Batch and Hooky, everyone tried but as said it’s a unforgiving track and is extremely hard to pass after the 2nd bend even for the home riders! We are all aware how good we can be at home let’s make a go of it and try for that bonus point. Hopefully see a few travelling Edinburgh fans too. Onto tomorrow!
  2. Scunthorpe (32) 1. Steve Worrall 2. Zaine Kennedy 3. Luke Harrison 4. Connor Mountain 5. Jake Allen 6. Declan Kennedy 7. Simon Lambert Workington (58) 1. Troy Batchelor 2. Fraser Bowes 3. Tate Zischke 4. Jye Etheridge 5. Antti Vuolas 6. Jacob Hook 7. Connor Coles (G) No Vinnie Foord today due to injury. As usual it won’t be an easy task at the EWR but some real encouraging performances from all of our lads over the last few weeks! Come on the Comets!
  3. Agree it’s falling short on some🤣 Great crowd in attendance yesterday so naturally it took longer to exit the arena and long may that continue! I’d wait whatever it took to get out if it meant a great attendance for our club! Imagine Mancheter united fans getting upset that after a game there was alot of traffic leaving the area…🫣
  4. Great performance from Redcar tonight as expected it wasn’t to be easy especially with the guests in place so well done to them. Big thanks to Redcar Bears supporters for the great away support always good to see. There was some superb racing today not all in our favour but still good Speedway on show which is obviously the main ingredient to a good meeting! Onto next weekend away at Scunny and Plymouth
  5. Very tough meeting in store for our lads this afternoon, Redcar are a strong team with a lot of riders who ride our track well (who doesn’t ) and in my opinion are stronger from Grahn now in as a guest. We have been on form over the last few weeks so need to continue this and let’s hope it starts with us winning the coin toss as this can be important early on in meeting.
  6. Goes without saying it won’t be an easy task for our boys but we’re on form right now so i remain positive. C’mon the Comets !
  7. So good to see the Comets riding so well yesterday I can say a lot of good things about everyone in the team however more importantly for me the biggest positives I seen yesterday were the atmosphere in the team and sprite among all the riders, from Troy at 1 down to Vinnie so nice to see. The last 2 weeks have been great for the club after such a worrying time. Have to comment on how good the track was too, I think somebody have already mentioned this but for such a one sided affair it was very an entertaining meeting. Well done all involved!
  8. I’d say Andrew and the rest of the promotion are entitled to alot more respect than the label of a “Crook” Im sure you’ve witnessed the amount for efforts and money that has been put into Workington Speedway at Northside , regardless of what people speculate this promotion have done everyone proud in the work they’ve done.
  9. Here’s hoping we’re back on track sooner rather than later. As everyone is aware the promotion and everyone at the club have put so much into Workington Speedway and in my biased opinion is best set up for speedway in the country the track and views are unmatched all this in only a few years.
  10. The pairs was a British speedway event held at Workington so the club had no involvement in the prices for that meetings.
  11. I’m fully confident in the team we have no concerns here give the lads some time to get some meetings in as a team and we will see the results our reserve imo are very strong possibly the best in the league. Can’t wait for this weekend to get things started yes we all know Edinburgh isn’t a happy place for us (or most teams) but let’s get behind them!
  12. Terrible to hear about this, hoping we hear something positive very soon! Speedway the greatest sport in the world but can also be horrendous in a split second. Thinking of Tai and all his family
  13. Another big one to start off the season, we will be there to watch Troy and Tate do the business!
  14. Good weather forecast and a huge line up, can’t wait for this meeting what a way to start the season!

  16. Our first meeting of the season is fast approaching. Let’s get behind the lads and make some noise on the road! Get in touch with the Supporters Club via Facebook or Instagram to reserve your seat on the bus to Edinburgh - (BANK HOLIDAY) Friday 18th April.
  17. Fantastic effort on the Go fund me page raising money to help the club after the recent storm damage to the pit area. The running of the club won’t be cheap anyway let alone these setbacks so it’s great to see people helping out financially and going down the track to offer help. Remember Andrew and the promotion own and run this club but it’s the fans club too so let’s support them on and off track! Already excited for the season to start. Give us a C !!!
  18. Another video posted since then of him winning a heat ahead of Jan Kvech, from what I’ve seen of him so far he seems a good gater, looking forward to him getting started with us I’m sure like almost every other rider he will love our track.
  19. Impressive ride from Fraser Bowes ( on his Facebook) to beat Chris Holder under a lot of pressure too. Looking forward to him getting stuck into our track.
  20. Welcome to Workington Jacob Hook Happy with how our team looks for 2025, plenty to look forward to and riders who will make for exciting racing around Northside. Well done to the promotion and all involved!
  21. Probably all chasing the same few riders ….
  22. Very happy with the team building so far a good scoring reserve and the 2 riders who in my opinion needed to be back after we gave them a start in British Speedway it’s only right we benefit from them in 2025.
  23. Craig Cook announced all signed up for next year (Twitter/X) but who by…..
  24. Great night had by all at the presentation night on Friday just about recovered now, nice to see so many people turning up for it to. On the team front it was quite rare to have the night where no signings were announced ….. obviously we still have the AGM to come yet so we might not be far off hearing some news on our 2025 riders. Based on what Claus said it’s clear he won’t be back but other then that no real big hints from anyone so we will see.
