Tigers v Comets Plenty of Comets fans looking to make the long trip so hopefully the weather is kind and we can get some revenge after our home defeat. A few of our lads have experience of this track so let’s see what we can do, should be a close one!

Another enjoyable meeting today obviously not the score we wanted but plenty of good signs especially from Luke Harrison great stuff . Hope Elliot is ok that was a nasty one need him ok for the 18th away at Mildenhall Still very happy to see speedway back at Workington such a great set up too!

Another meeting another win and another massive crowd for the Workington Comets, horrible crash for Kelsey Dugard hope he’s on the mend soon. Good to see Luke Harrison get some racing in at last looked good on the bike but probably struggling with race fitness which will come. Hopefully we have Crangy back soon after his fall at Berwick. Connor Bailey was a class above tonight but a special mention to Elliot Kelly who fought for every point after taking a few falls himself recently. Rest up lads until next time!

The Comets are back ! What a win and what a comeback!

Nice weather in Workington AGAIN , most of our lads are more familiar with the Berwick track than our own so today wont be all be plain sailing, should be some good racing. Can’t wait to see our lads back on track again! C’mon the Comets!

Gutted I can’t make this one but it’s good to see the old rivalry between Workington and Berwick is back. I’m Predicting a very close score tonight with the Comets taking a narrow 44-46 win Give us a C

Workington V Edinburgh! Excited to even post this one, after years away we are back! Firstly a big thank you and congratulations to all of the Workington management/Promoters/volunteers and sponsors to revive our club and put together an amazing race track and team. Great stuff being about to see my club rise again, really excited to watch racing around our new track looks unbelievable. Plenty of good stuff on social media for the Comets too, Good to see comments from each rider after signing !️

Brilliant Grand Prix it had everything, Cardiff seems to be improving every year!! Terrible luck for Gollob but still one of his better British GP's. Well done Holder a deserved winner.

Zorro has always been an entertaining rider, He made it fair and square so good luck to the fella, hope he does well.

Finally some sense at last great news that Tai Woffinden is now in the GPs we now have young blood in there and it will be a good experience for him. Hans and Freddie also deserve thier places as they are exicting riders with alot to offer the GPs Bomber im happy for him as he is a tryer but unless he makes the top 8 this year it will be his last and im sure he knows that. Good news all round thought well done to those concerned who made the selections.

I stayed in the Etap in Newport this year and it made our weekend we couldnt stop laughing at the room which we were staying in so for that reason alone i recommend it The room is basic in every sense of the word -metal bunkbed (double on the bottom , single on the top) which only just fits into the "cell sized" room, small telly in the corner. Airconditioning in the room we had was broken and with it being a small room nearly gave me and my dad heat stroke. Onto the en-suite bathroom- very small sink located about 3 foot away from the bed with a walk-in shower next to that with no privacy at all. The toilet is a small cupboard. Complimentary "Etap" soap is in your room prior to your arrival. In your room you will also find 1 towel and 1 toilet roll for the duration of your stay. Breakfast (Which is £3.50 each,we didnt pay as we eat it and walked off laughing ) consists of - toast, tea/coffee and milk if there is any left, and in some cases there are no mugs left but the kind lady behind the desk gave us some staff mugs. Saying all that the rooms and hotel in general are clean enough but very very basic, and i would imagine extra oxygen in the small rooms would come at an extra cost!! All these things together as funny as it may sound made the weekend as it was "an experience" What a laugh we had id go back again but perhaps not everyone shares my sense of humour Honestly you have to try it.
