  1. Not today, that's for sure, I think we may see him replaced in his last one. Having a mare which is a great shame as there is no better sight in speedway, when he is in full flight.
  2. You're Greek Cypriot why do you care...?... Certainly surprised me though, but who cares, surely he can help whomever he wants to.
  3. Anders, cheers. I had a little look myself and his website indicated Gorzow as well, but I don't recall him riding for them this year. That said I haven't monitored all their scores. Checked Gorzow's site and, after a quick check, I don't see him featured in this year's team.
  4. Good to see Katajisto get a rather good points return. Excellent return from Erik Pudel, which clubs does he ride for?
  5. QUOTE (Rob B @ Jul 19 2009, 08:42 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Charlie Webster says its stopped raining now but been raining all night and track is very muddy You got her number... lucky boy..
  6. If you're watching Eurosport2, that's a recording, but I doubt the weather has changed much from yesterday anyway... Fingers crossed though, you just never know...
  7. Weather in Poland...mmm http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/Poland.htm
  8. As ever a mine of useful information, thanks, I didn't know that. Don't worry whilst I have a breath left in my body we will get on that list. Thanks again for the info, I knew you'd be watching...
  9. Sadly, you are correct re not having more than 50% of the vote, although not far off, however when the referendum is rolled out in 2010, it'll be interesting to see what the % vote is then. Unfortunately, there are still a large number of people in Scotland (mostly in the west) who when they see a red rosette will vote for it. Primarily (once Labour gets in at a UK level) cos they'll still be able to claim their dole money and countless other benefits, without the slighest effort to get a job. Personally, all of these supporting team GB silly questions will be null and void if Scotland were an independent country. Then we could have a Scottish speedway team for us to support, I for one would applaud that opportunity.
  10. Edinburgh will just have to ensure that their new track meets FIM approval, then.
  11. That was a humdinger of a meeting. Poland are some team. Cracking racing, King and Gollob, Meidzinski and Adams, Crump and Zagar, Hampel and Holder, etc etc.. Probably the best racing I've seen at Peterborough. Can't wait for Thursday, that could be brutal.
  12. Just quick question re Kevin Wolbert Is he any good? How does he ride? Trapper? Passer? Any information would be appreciated.
  13. Anders thanks very much for that. Great to see Thomas Jonasson scoring well and claiming some good scalps.
  14. Good to hear Katajisto doing well. Does anyone know where he is riding this year? Is it only Finland?
  15. Thanks for that. I just wonder, do any/all of the riders get asked for their preference (of track)? It's a very frustrating situation. I for one think the SGP series is the best thing to hit speedway, perhaps ever. Primarily as it has given SKY (and others) a very viewer friendly introduction to viewing the sport. However, the difficulty comes when my mates (who hadn't seen the sport before) come to me after seeing the GP's saying '...the racing is over by the end of the first lap'. I find it very hard to defend. The sport has got a great opportunity to gain a big following, but with slick tracks (resulting in no passing) are we shooting ourselves in the foot? How long will SKY keep covering the sport ?
  16. I think we're on the same side of the argument here, but I'm a little thick and consequently am not getting what you are driving at re your last paragraph....
  17. Pretty close. You had the top 4 just in slightly the wrong order. How do you work your rating out?
  18. There is only one thing that Ole Olsen and his fellow GPer's will pay attention to .... money. If you stop watching the GP's on tv and at the stadiums that will hit their pocket ....
  19. Nicholls and Harris are, sort of, the speedway equivalent to Ricky Hatton, good at a certain level but the second they mix it with the big boys they come up very very short. I'm certain they don't try to be as bad as they are appearing but they just can't cope at SGP level. Simples.
  20. Can someone tell me how well Kalle Katajisto is riding this season. By the sound of things he's doing well.
  21. Yup I can't believe SKY will be chuffed at the quality of racing last night. To be fair Marketa as a track normally is better than that, so I can forgive it this time. Looks like the Poles stayed away, recession must be biting hard. The wee man Emil certainly put the cat amongst the proverbials last night. I think the series needs a bit more of an injection of new blood to keep the interest going. Nicholls, Harris and Gollob were really poor last night.
