I have always thought that speedway is the young men game. Longtrack is in the middle and ice racing is for those who dont have anything else to do anymore and are ready to die every time they put their leathers on.. -

Amazing rider and a great lad indeed, so happy that he got the third one now. -
They must quit this returning to pits act after false start or restart. After crashed rider is scraped from the fence and ambulance is ready the race director should hit 2 min warning on.

Could they end this with rock, paper, scissors? Kind of scared that someones career is going to end in a huge crash in this final. But.. this isnt golf! This is going to be one great final! -

Back at home.. oh man that was a crappy meeting. I found it terrible to see that most of the main stand VIP spectators were drinking free booze and didnt even bother to go to their seats.

FSP, can you give any parking tips? Is there places near Ratina where to park a car? Heard from my friend who was at Red Hot Chili Peppers gig at Ratina that parking was a bit of a nightmare.

Omg, I though Smolinski would fight with Harris at the bottom of the table. Superb riding from the lad. I hope he can keep that form and boost speedway in Germany.

I remember Jack Burnicle from late 1990s Eurosport SGP and icespeedway. He did a very good job then and knew his stuff. Specially I remember 1999 GP of Vojens, last GP of Hans Nielsen and same year Master of Spike from Berlin. He did.. eh not so good in ice speedway GP this year. Maybe he has been out for too long and takes time to get back in the game.

..eh. Team UK? Why on earth isnt BSPA sending a team to meeting that Eurosport is showing. Publicity would not hurt..
-
There is this one island north from France. Speedway was big there 25 years ago. I think it was UK or something like that..

Have to admit that I also saw it in a way that he hit the outside barrier when I was at the pits yesterday. Wasnt Järf riding in 2009 final in Forssa? http://www.forssanmoottoriseura.fi/UserFiles/fms/Image/kuvagalleria/jaaspeedway/28_2_2009/15.jpg I kind of remember thinking that there was this new guy riding who had potential. I really hope he gets his program in a shape he can go compete outside Finland. His riding looks smooth and bike goes like a train. He chooses right lines and isnt a hazard to anyone on the track. Like yesterday he was one of the few who actually used his left knee to keep bike in balance.
-
He lost grip of his rear and then front. After that he was angled in totally wrong direction. Than God no injuries when he went inside the track. Final heat is in the end: http://youtu.be/B-0gIxB-xZA

Fim Bans Participation In European Championships

I just find it a bit hard to understand what FIM is trying to get from this? More tv-time cant really hurt speedway? Without best riders SEC will stay as 2nd class meeting. -

Im starting to have a very strong feeling that federations are just running their own things. Sports that they are representing is just an act.. -
And now the news/rumours are that half a dozen bikes are lost and some tools too! Kind of saw that to happen.

Haha, have to admit that Järf rode so well that I had to jump up to cheer few times during the meeting. If Aakko would have been fit.. it would have been epic fight for the silver. http://www.speedweek.com/eisspeedwaygp/news/51590/Blagovestschensk-GP-9000-km-bis-nach-China.html Guys have a nice trip to take. All the luck for Tani.

Gating of the western riders is.. just horrible. Is Makarov a local rider? Crowd cheers for him a lot. Anyways, game is on when he is on the track and I like it.

Isnt Niedermaier going to the Team Final also? Working URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSaYQZKvnK4#t=375

I had the right stream. It was down for three first heats. Now working very good. A bit less coffee for camera man would be an improvement. edit. Any idea about the weather out there? Yesterday during the training ice seemed to shatter alot. During the start training all the guys rode very very carefully. Now, ice is still shattering a lot but guys are riding better. Is it risk or better weather? edit 2. Have to admit that Im a bit amazed how good Aakko rode! 9p!!! hehe, so pumped with the points that I forgot semi-finals and final!

Is everyone getting just black screen or video about the guys taking photos? I mean could this be that FIM has not allowed to film the race?!
-
Rules allowing rear suspension is one reason. Budgets went up over night and you need much more testing to do to be competitive. Russians have best places to test all the time. Now days they have money and components also.
