I would of still put Garrity in the team. He is the 1 rider who is fearless against big opposition and yes i agree he is not the full package yet but speedway is a mind game and he can scare the opposition and nobody else in our team does that. Usa carried a rider last year with an eye on the future and it paid off for them .we should br doing the same .if we dont try them we may never know. Rossiter said he picked kerr over garrity for the squad because its on a big track like kings lynn .this is the same track that garrity beat kerr 3times last week was it?. Sounds like someone dosent do his homework

I thought of this when i saw a picture of the track being ripped up after the meeting and thought what a waste. When its our turn to hold the final of the SWC why not make the final the next day at the millennium stadium .surely everybody who goes to the GP would stay and attend the final of the SWC. It might even increase the attendence for both. It would truly be a weekend of speedway. BSI could offer a duel ticket for both meetings .the attendance for SWC now is 10,000? If everyone stayed and went to both it would go up to 40,000 ,the track is all ready there ,the stadium dosent get used the next day except for BSI to take track out .i know its paying for 2 meetings buts at current SWC prices whats another £20 on top of cardiff .i think its got winner all over it for BSI and the fans -

Every year cardiff shows me that nothing compares or even comes close to speedway as a specticle and a sport but when it leaves the millennium stadium it gets took over by the spoiler fairies and it all falls to peices -

not if you do your homework .you could have stopped at the university or the youth hostel for less than £20 and they are clean and tidy rooms if a little basic. This year we stopped in travelodge in caerphilly (8miles from cardiff) got a family room for £58 and we only booked it last week. Those prices are hardly a rip off -

2014 European Speedway Championships
THE DEAN MACHINE replied to DutchGrasstrack's topic in International World of Speedway
What if a company that owned a 20,000 stadium in england and wanted more use for it were to aproach the SEC owners to stage a round next year .the stadium has no connection to speedway and a tempary track would need to be installed ,could they do it? .if it went ahead and was well supported by by the british public it would be a bit awkward for BSI and british speedway and no doubt they would object but what could they actually do to stop it. This is hypothetical of course -

Banning Dangerous Riders
THE DEAN MACHINE replied to Star Lady's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
With the european championship trying to lure away riders from the GP's i dont think the FIM is in a position to start dishing out bans to riders in the GP's -
maybe im not just a fan ,maybe im a mechanic for a rider ,maybe im an engine tuner or a rider ,maybe i work for the FIM or the ACU or even the SCB ,maybe im a referee ? maybe im non of those and just a fan who sits in his armchair and digs his hole but i do know what im talking about and i dont have to quote any names to make my point

the damage to zagar's bike is because how the modern bike reacts rather than the contact from nicki bike .they scream their nuts off (look at zagars hand in pic 2 the throttle is wide open)and as soon as they get out of control they fire like a bullet. I dont see the riders calling for revs to be cut do you?. I do agree nicki should of been excluded and his lack of care afterwards was not good but the incident is the same move we see many times on every big track and if it was anybody else we wouldnt be talking about it
-
but thats the point pedersen dosent slam into him .when pedersen dives and they meet there is no contact. They travel together to the middle of the corner and then there is contact. Zagar does nothing wrong but when pedersen comes along side him he could of backed off and cut back like batch did with ward but its a gp and not many back off. Pedersen was rightly excluded it was a hard move not a dangerous one. Anybody else and nothing would of been said but everybody jumping on anti pedersen bandwagen instead of seeing it for the incident it was. This type of move happens on most big wide tracks every week by most riders. I am not a fan of pedersen by any means and some of the things he does are ruthless/dangerous but not saturdays.
-
it depwnds on how the rider on the outside reacts to it. In heat 18 on saturday ward does the same move on batch but batch dosent try to clamp him and lets him by and then cut back but it is the same move and have a look how far ward has to go across the white line to pass batch then look how pedersen dosent go across white line .so who had the most room for their dive?.

[quote name="Drop a cog" post="2466976" timestamp="1402940582" If any of the armchair 'experts' can find a bona fide expert to publicly defend the knob then their point of view might hold some water but in the meantime I'm with the majority who realise riding a speedway bike like perdesen will cause accidents. sorry didnt know you were a renound speedway legend. Its hard to tell when you hide behind a avtar. Had i known i would never or questioned your wisdom in such maters from my armchair .see what i did there ,i used sarcasm to make my point
