That’s how I feel after spending my hard earned going to Ipswich Thursday night, his lack of effort was appalling

Just seen pictures from the stock cars at kings Lynn tonight, size of the crowd, what are they doing right that we aren’t ? It isn’t the price as it was £42 to get in and extra £25 for grandstand seat and it was packed and had extra seats on 4th bend too

I call him the Goat not just because how many titles he has won but because his ability on a speedway bike, it is far in excess of any rider now or historically, he is an out and out racer and he has provided some of the best 4th to first moves of the last few years, his ability to read a situation and react is matched by nobody, he never jumps the start, he never has mechanical issues his discipline and his will to win are are a hard act to follow, statistically he isn’t there yet but he is 30 and 6 times winner, 8 medals in 9 years 6 gold, that is the Goat

Yes how, same points, wins 2nd 3rds etc, lebedevs faster time in qualifying, lebedevs beat Kurtz

Said to the Mrs before start of meeting I think we are at the beginning of of another danish domination of speedway with the riders that are coming up through the ranks but watching tonight meeting the Dane’s look dreadful

It’s hard to make vojens anything other than gate and go, it is a gate and go track, very little banking and a sandy tyoe dirt, hopefully the rain will help

You have to think who thought it was a good idea

As I said I would I took notice of the amount of team clothing worn by fans last night, we parked the car right near turnstiles and the que ‘s were fairly big, I would say probably 3% had Ipswich branding and about 2% of that was clothing from the 1990s-2000s, quite a few of the old Wulfsport jackets, not many modern team shirts on show, it was cold and people had jackets on so that could of factored in to it, also I know it’s the case in most British speedway but Ipswich crowd seems to be 50+ age bracket and I don’t think I’ve seen so many dogs at a speedway meeting (except in the bar at hull years back)😉

I also believe Kurtz only tried in his last ride was for personal reasons, speedway is a massive psychological sport especially at the top and the old saying you’re only as good as your last ride is very true, he wouldn’t want to leave that stadium without a good last ride because it will fester in the back of your mind as you sit in the van or on a plane to your next meeting, interestingly zmarzlik also won his only race win in his last race in Sweden

The difference with Boughen was he obviously has some sort of mental block around other riders and imo made the correct decision to leave the sport,Kurtz doesn’t but seems couldn’t care less about BV chances of winning the league or its fans

Then that’s unacceptable if he didn’t try but I don’t know what he scored as I don’t follow Swedish speedway Just looked 8 paid 9 with a race win from 4 rides, doesn’t sound like he wasn’t trying to me, no unnecessary risks maybe butt Kurtz wasn’t even trying until his last ride

As a fan without a team I’m glory hunting this year, come on the witches

I don’t care if a rider has a bad night and doesn’t score or gets 1or 2 points as long as he gives it his best and that didn’t happen with Kurtz last night, in his first 2 rides he was shutting off down the straights, it wasn’t till his last ride he actually looked like the rider he can be, in my book that’s unacceptable, we paid over £120 with petrol to watch 14 riders give their best and Kurtz and to a point sayfutinow didn’t give it, zischie was had a poor night but at least you could see he was trying and pretty much riding to his ability,I feel sorry for any BV fans that made the trip last night, you were short changed, also considering the size of the crowd and it was big the atmosphere felt flat
