I genuinely think I’ve become one of those people who use to go to speedway, not by choice either, with wolves closing and now Birmingham gone, my nearest track is Buxton and although I will go there a couple of times this coming season I just can’t see me going to watch speedway regularly any more, I might go to an odd match here and there but I’ve become my speedway friends, they still follow it but don’t go anymore, even having a skid myself was reduced to 2 meetings (worky IOW) in 2025, hardly worth the effort of keeping my bikes or the hours of driving to do it

Yes i know, we have been corresponding with the stadium and entain but at the moment the door is shut to speedway, it’s very difficult to get to the bottom of what the issue is, why speedway was kicked out, the stadium say is wasn’t them, CVS says he is angry at it all but doesn’t say much else and entain are a multi billion dollar company that quite frankly don’t give speedway a second glance and they don’t give reasons just answers, I have my own theory after chatting with CVS and someone who worked at the stadium for 30 years but it’s just that a theory but I will with others will keep on trying, it may be a tiny-nil chance of ever going back there but it wolves only chance of ever coming back, time changes, people change, ideas change, you never know

Depends on who you know and the equipment you can get hold of

It just needs the cost of installing a new track which is not a little cost

Not a mention of the sterling work that speedway futures Ltd habe done behind the scenes,not a mention of who the new Ipswich owners are if indeed there are any, a statement that told us very little but what did we expect really ? You don’t need to wait for an AGM to fix a problem and it’s clear they have no idea how to fix the sport, carry on doing the same and pound to a penny they haven’t addressed any issues of cost either for riders and more importantly the long suffering dwindling fan base

Unfortunately yes I can but more worryingly it’s the bunny brained idea they will have come up with to make it 5 if Ipswich don’t run

Maybe they could of just got 5 championships promoters to guest for them at the AGM

Could it have been they waited so long they forgot ?

Maybe they waiting to announce after a TV deal fell through they have decided to join onlyfans and once a month the 5 promoters have to strip for money ?

Then we are truly in trouble if it not sorted by now, the season is 10 weeks away

Well tomorrow is the big day, we finally get to hear the massive news springing from the depths of Barnsley and personally I am beside myself with excitement, will it be 5 laps, will it be no more tear offs allowed, will it be a new team in crimond in north east Scotland ? Or will it be the biggest let down ? Hope we can all sleep tonight with all this excitement

Oh come on 😳this is the most important AGM since last year and the collective of personnel that the sport has never seen the likes of before, personally I’m expecting some inspirational decisions that will take speedway to new heights of greatness in the sporting world
