Which Brit Should Get A Wild Card?
noggin replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
If there has to be a brit, and there probably has to be to give sky someone to focus on,id go for Harris, due to last nights position or Tai if he goes well in the u21,no way there should be 2 brits, you have to have at least 3 from denmark, poland & sweden as they are the top countries currently,on reflection you have to admire what magnus has done, when more touted individuals have failed or not even bothered to try and qualify. -
I think it will, unlikely to want 4 swedes.
-
Will be interesting to see who the permanent wild cards are, now that holder qualified by right.

Grand Prix Challenge.

We need new blood in the gp's not another pensioner -
Right about Nicholls & Harris,I don't think Zorro would do any good in a full gp season, just shows the lack of real stars outside the top 10 or so usual suspects.

Scandinavian Gp - Saturdays Sky Coverage
noggin replied to OldBulldog's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
The tennis should be red button surely,as im out tonight i'll have to record the repeat aswell just to get the last hour.As said by others,a very poor way to treat the speedway fans. -
Cool that be good, any idea of tracks visiting?
-
I have watched most of the meetings and have enjoyed them, although as said elsewhere pity the picture quality/camera angles isn't better, there looks to be a few riders coming through that we may see in uk in the future, although my fave has to be Jimmy Fishback, tad to old for a career here now.Would also be good to see some different tracks which are slightly longer.

Gb World Cup Team
noggin replied to DarrenCook's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I agree we should give youth there chance,as we did last year with Tai,but also think it should be a gradual introduction not this gung-ho attitude this year, either rico or scott should have been in the team as back up to Bomber,I fear the likes of lewis and danny could get quite demoralised, only my opinion tho.Picking peterborough against the aussies and poles is hardly the brightest idea. -

Good to see Rico riding well tonight and he even passed Adams in one race, pity he aint quite good enough for team GB though -
Isn't Ulamek injured now?

Nicholls V Sayfutdinov
noggin replied to Cornishman's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Agreed, the whole lot of them need to get into the real world, cant wait for the next gp to see who they try it on with, could get ugly. -

I'm all for giving the youngsters a go,but think it should be a gradual introduction,Tai last year,Lewis this year, until eventually the're all in.Bit odd that its at Peterborough, surely we prefer a track that was less like home for the poles. -
Too true, scott was perfectly fair on him, emil getting too big for his boots and holloway needs to keep his opinions to himself.

The Decline Of Leigh Adams
noggin replied to geeze's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I'm happy for leigh to take things easy and not risk injury, doesn't need to prove anything in my eyes,he'll never be world champ now,but having watched him race since 1990 he's giving hours of enjoyment. Its also good to see some of the younger guys step up this season as the gp's were getting stale. -
Was an ok match, not much of a crowd tho
