  1. THEY say an awful lot, don't they. (Any similarity in style between this and PHILIPRISING's posts is purely coincidental)
  2. Well done noggin! Even guessed both Holder and Ward's points bang on.
  3. I seriously hope this is wrong about limiting each country to 3 riders. There can only be one reason for it and that is to try and justify Harris' inclusion. What if 3 Poles qualify and 2 more get through the GP Challenge? It's ludicrous.
  4. How is it 1.4 points per race? 21 divided by 18 =1.17. X that by 4 and you have a true average. Funnily enough my "strange" methods are those used by everyone in speedway bar you and have been since as far back as you care to go. I've explained it as simply as I can, if you choose to inflate it to look flattering that's up to you but as far as averages are concerned you are wrong. I guarantee 99% of people on this forum will agree with me because it's a mathematical fact.
  5. I'm amazed myself that anyone could think 7 from 6 is an average of 7.00 Even more odd was his claim that I had some kind of strange calculating method! For Ghostwalker: Points divided by rides multiplied by 4 gives you a true average that can be comparable to any other average. Eg: When a rider scores 17 from six rides that is not a 17.00 average, but 11.33.
  6. I bet the guy in red in that race has got his underpants on a hot wash this evening. He was very lucky as it seemed he was going to clatter into either a bike or rider with nowhere to go but thankfully they bounced in the right direction at the last moment.
  7. Personally if I'd gone first I would pick riders who are expected to score low. Eg, Wells 2. He probably won't score many more and the worst he can score is 0 so you can only lose a maximum of 2 in that direction. Having said that, there's a reason it's not me playing and that is I didn't play the game as well so what do I know? Anyway it should add to the enjoyment tomorrow so good luck to both of you
  8. I would just like to add, Darky Ward came over very well in his interview at the end and not at all cocky as I've seen him previously. It seems he is maturing both on and off the track and all credit to him.
  9. A true average is from 12 points. To say he averaged 7.00 is flattering his performance. Try points per ride rather than points per meeting. 7 from 6 is not an impressive score.
  10. Not so impressive when you calculate a true average of 4.67 from those meetings.
  11. On the contrary, I think it's the winter break that screws him. He then takes about 4 months to get going again. What he needs is a winter touring Australia, testing out engines on big fast tracks and staying competitive and then hit the ground running come March.
  12. Agree, I was in and out so didn't see much of the meeting but the bits I did see didn't keep me hooked. The race-off though, as you say, was superb.
  13. Yet another unnecessary crash caused by this stupid leg waving nonsense. And the wrong man excluded.
  14. Last year it was announced on 19th October so judging by that we should know within the next two weeks.
  15. Exactly my immediate thoughts when the news broke. Seems crazy to hold it during the start of the Eiropean seasons.
  16. If only you hadn't gone back and edited that post several months ago, you would have probably won with ease
  17. Excellent. Well done to WFJ, the only one to score points in this round. It's been good fun, thanks TNT.
