What people are forgetting is that Kyle was going to be in the main body of the team this year had he not been a draft rider............... I hope they build the team around Magic next year............and would love to see Chris and Dak back........... RP

I think most people are worse off generally than they were 2 years ago..............I am on the same as I was 6 years ago (not in the same job) and him indoors had a minimal pay rise this year for the first time in 6 years...............it is a more affluent area but what needs to be born in mind is that houses here are far more expensive than up North and in parts of the Midlands...........the cost of living is generally more expensive and yet like everywhere else wages and salaries do not increase................. The company that him indoors works for have repeatedly asked for us to move to nearer their head office which is near Broadway in Worcestershire and we have repeatedly said no............why???????? Because it is easier for him to get everywhere he needs to be apart from two places from here...........and our youngest has special needs and we did not want to go through the upheaval of changing schools and health authorities to get things right for him.................and it would be more expensive to buy a house there than here.............if we could even sell ours............. Actually the majority of people in the area do not have more disposable income..................the cost of living is getting higher and wages are not increasing.................I have to pick and choose which matches I go to because to go to every home meeting would mean that we would have to go without essentials some weeks..............not everyone in the area is wealthy as you imply................you try living on the same disposable income in the same area as you have done for the last 6 years................. As for is Matt the best promoter...............after the Fearman/Chandler era he most definitely is................MF is a shrewd businessman and has the ability to move things forward.................There are other promoters that I admire for what they have done for the sport but MF's business acumen puts him head and shoulders above most of the others................... Having said that if Stewkesbury and Ansell had not taken over Poole when Weymouth were forced out of Radipole Lane after Fearman and Chandler bankrupted the club in 1984 there may not have been speedway in Poole today................. I have not read all the comments so all I am going to say is this............... The real winner last night was Speedway..................to be fair both teams deserved to win the title...........both teams rode their hearts out...............both teams did their level best..................like many others thought the outcome was never going to be guaranteed and it certainly kept me on the edge of my slightly uncomfortable seat in the stand................... It was one of the best and most emotional meetings I have seen in nearly 40 years of following the sport............ Well done Poole..............but credit to Belle Vue for giving us a great meeting..........and to be honest if Poole had lost it would have been to the better team and it would not have bothered me if the Aces had won................... Good luck to the Aces in their new home next year........... RP

I don't deny its in the rule book..............all I am saying is that if the start marshall and the referee did not do anything about it how can they change things at this stage............. RP

Here we go again...................anyone who actually watched what was going on could clearly see that Kyle had a problem with his goggles.............the start marshall tried to help him but could not..............the alternative was to go back to the pits and be excluded for two minutes as I believe he could not be brought a pair of goggles to the start line as that is also against the rules I believe.........no outside assistance when at the tapes................... Oh but then again it is Poole and everyone will conveniently forget about Worrall staying down in heat two when he could have cleared the track............ RP

I rarely throw my toys out of the pram............but I think I speak for most Poole fans when I say we are sick of the anti Poole brigade..............not a drama queen at all just hacked off with the constant b******s spouted by certain people on here................. Only because certain people choose to believe that..................I have no reason to disbelieve the article............it clarifies what the majority of this thread has been about..............the truth is there is a certain element of this forum and the sport in general who very conveniently only remember the alleged bad things about Poole..............not the positive things that they bring to the sport................if the sport had more businessmen with Matt Ford's business acumen the sport would be a better place..................at least he gets out there and promotes unlike some promoters who sit on their backsides expecting the world to come to them for doing nothing.................
