Was it really though? He’s gone on and had a relatively decent career on the continent I doubt he looks back and thinks an extra season or two at Glasgow might have made him world champion.

Superb signing in theory but I do worry about all the baggage the fella carries particularly over the past 3 or 4 seasons. If his heads right however I don't think he’ll be beaten many times at Shielfield next season.

He was predominantly a very good gater so if he does sign and he gets the bike set up to get out the gate he could prove potentially formidable at home. As you say though, if Etheridge is included in any Berwick side you can just immediately write off another season because regardless of average he's garbage. As the saying goes; 'anyone can make a mistake but only an idiot makes the same mistake time and time again'.

A very Berwick esque signing if this is true. Just get Jye announced as well and I’m sure the season tickets will go like hot cakes 😄

Surely the most imperative aspect of next seasons team building is getting Dickson back as TM after the outstanding job hes done this season and then making Jye captain for life.

George to keep his nose covered in the brown stuff in the match report, Mythman to tell everyone what a great meeting it was in his next column and Dick to get in for free. As for the speedway meeting, 15 point max for club favourite Jye and another improved performance at reserve from the Hod.

Nooo! Jye is a club hero and even when he’s woeful (all the time) he needs to be out there representing the mighties.

He’s doing a sterling job. Absolute club legend. George, Dick and Mythman always tell the less educated Berwick fans of how well he’s doing and they’ll support him through thick and thin. Admirable really.

Do you think he’s an asset to the team? As I said initially for me it should be Hume and Etheridge that should be away but I dont think Kemps pulled up any trees personally given there was a feeling pre season he was on a low average.

I agree on Kemp as well he has been very inconsistent but not as bad as the other 2 mentioned imo. You could argue they need to replace 6 riders and just keep Kerr but that obviously wont happen at this stage.

Dickson has got nearly every team decision wrong this season to be honest. Woeful as usual from Etheridge and Hume.

Yet another meeting where Etheridge and Hume have cost Berwick this evening. Embarrassing management of the team keeping those two at the club for as long as they have.

How many decent teams have been assembled at Berwick since Peter Waite left?

Another disastrous result against a side with no Barker. Hopefully Dickson gets Starke back to guest for the next match as he’s been a roaring success so far.

No idea to be honest and not really fussed either. He’s the biggest problem but to be honest its fairly clear most other parts of the team are mediocre as well. Another season written off for Berwick.
