  1. There is a live stream available Grachan, details on Nicolai's web site here https://www.nicolaiklindt.com/
  2. Seem to remember TNT Sports boasting "This is the home of motor sport in the UK" If they don't cover the GP's this year, then that makes a mockery of that statement!
  3. Well I'm a Kings Lynn supporter and I've just donated. I hope they manage to get the damage sorted and maybe up their security as well?
  4. Not so! The two meetings held last year were just as close and exciting as any of the previous NL meetings held there. Like you, I was dubious about the quality I was going to see, but it was great, so don't let that put you off.
  5. No help was given to Mildenhall who moved heaven and earth to make their fence safe. They covered all of the metal posts with very high density foam AND have an air fence in front of that, yet it was deemed not acceptable because they didn't get the foam from the one and only recommended supplier. They ran two highly successful meetings under the NORA banner last year with no problems and had big crowds. I appreciate that rider safety is the number one priority, but when I stand at Kings Lynn where just behind the wooden fence that isn't protected by the air fence, I see a huge concrete armco barrier, I wonder how that can be safe yet Mildenhall's fence is regarded as unsafe?
  6. The "Gold Top" is more powerful than the "Semi-Skimmed" version! Sorry, I'll get my coat.
  7. Before he was 16 he used to come out during the interval and race against the stop watch at Lynn. At the time nobody had heard of him, but he headed out on what looked like a brand new bike, dug himself a hole at the starting gate then left the tapes like a rocket ship posting a time not too far off the track record! Everybody stopped drinking their beer and thought... what the hell did we just witness there? The rest, they say, is history.
  8. Don't forget Split Waterman, who was twice runner up in the World Championship. After Speedway he turned to a life of crime. Gold smuggling, lots of firearms in his house including two sub machine guns and dies for forging coins. He was also implicated with the Kray twins in a plot to murder a bloke, then imprisoned in Italy for possession of half a million quids worth of forged Spanish pesetas! What a character.
  9. I'm curious. In all my years of following Kings Lynn Speedway, I've always known it as "Saddlebow Road" However, looking on Google maps today I noticed they show it as "High Road" Even the Stars web site gives it as Saddlebow Road so I'm puzzled? According to the map, Saddlebow Road stops at the roundabout half a mile up the road then past the stadium its High Road. Anybody else noticed that?
  10. Has Jody been announced officially in the team? I haven't seen that anywhere?
  11. Brilliant news! Always one of my favourite riders, can't wait to see him blasting round Saddlebow Road again in 2026.
  12. Thanks Steve. I knew it was one of the two of them, just couldn't remember which one! So many funny things happened at Saddlebow Road, but my favourite must still be the "exploding" Witches! Don't suppose you have any photos of them?
  13. Was it Cyril, who after a dodgy refereeing decision, climbed up and polished the glass outside the referees box, saying he hoped it gave him a clearer view of the race?
  14. The problem with Sky Sports is that if I were to add it to my existing Sky package, it costs a fortune, and I'm only interested in Speedway. Therefore 90% of their content is football which I'm not the slightest bit interested in. That makes it a non starter financially for many people.
  15. Thanks, must have missed that whilst I was washing my hair!
