2014 European Speedway Championships
pandorum replied to DutchGrasstrack's topic in International World of Speedway
I did it for a laugh because he did it as Paul bless him did have a point about the childish stuff that goes on here such as someone having so little to do as complain about the other blokes type size which by the way I would like to complain about as it's TOO small Paul reckons it is a 5pm start UK time not 6pm as in some sources. Even if he was a Man U fan I will go with him and check it out at 5. Will be interesting to see who does well at Togliatti. Emil is good round there as too is Vitaly Belousov the home rider. Vaculic guested for Mega Lada a few weeks back and scored 15 from 5 rides so he has a slight advantage regarding the track. Wonder if it will be a sell out again. SEC seems to be pulling in the crowd as Germany was pretty much full and last year was good as well. Weather forecast is good so lets hope for some entertainment. Just checked the time zones and it's coming up to 7 pm there so that fits in with 5pm here as it's supposed to be an 8pm start -
Tai Woffinden's Views On Single Night Racing In Uk
pandorum replied to clambo71's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Can't blame Tai for wanting to maximise his earnings. Non of those who criticise him would ride for peanuts here when they could make real money in Poland or Sweden. It's not his fault that speedway is dying on its arce here. He WAS loyal to the sport in the UK and has spent this season as World Champion here but next year he may do what most of his rivals have done and give us a miss. Good luck to the lad and hope he makes a mint out of this speedway lark. One night speedway will never happen and the sport could not afford the top blokes even if it did. The only way for the sport to survive is take a step or two backwards to go forwards. Dump the EL and that idiotic double point rule and go back to the basic model and train Brit talent. It's obvious to a blind man that the EL is breathing it's last so what happens next we will have to wait with baited breath. One thing that cannot happen next year is NOTHING. STATUS QUO is not an option Although ironically UK speedway has a lot in common with Status Quo -

Of course you were asking people to invest or what was the point of the first post. You were seeing if there was any interest in giving a 100 or 1000 towards your idea to purchase a speedway club'. Sadly the ton of work would need to be done before starting such a thread. Laudable idea yes indeed but your 12 points are pretty naïve to be honest without some sort of actual plan as to how this would work financially. Point 12 being particularly silly. I wished you good luck and I meant it but it was never going to happen in reality. -

Well to be honest mate surely you did not expect even 10 people to invest without a sound business plan. -

Very laudable idea but sadly it will never happen. Your problems would start as soon as you bought a club and running a business by committee a recipe for disaster. Pie in the sky but best of British with the idea and I hope you feed me some humble pie when you have the best run club in British speedway. I sincerely wish you good luck with it. -

Probably more to do with Artem no longer riding for Mega Lada and they want a home track rider. Vitaly Belousov is their new darling and pretty handy around Togliatti. -
Jack Burnicle Out David Rowe In
pandorum replied to oldtimer's topic in International World of Speedway
I never said you did! Of course he was being lamentable that night. He was a prize pillock sitting next to an imbecile. But he is decent overall considering the low standards of speedway commentators across the decades. How do I know he was saying Loktaevs' name wrong. Exhibit A he spells it Loktaev on his own leathers so I presume he knows his own name. Exhibit B The Polish commentators call him that and I would presume they have more idea of the pronunciation than the Danish ones. -
Jack Burnicle Out David Rowe In

He made himself look a prize pillock by not reading what was on the screen that is lamentable in my book. That was Mistake 1. Mistake 2 was pronouncing Loktaevs name wrong for the entire meeting. A pair of clowns that night in my book. Did better this Tuesday as did the clown they pair him with. The abuse Nige and Kel gets here is quite disgraceful. They both have a huge speedway knowledge and Kel knows what being world champion is like albeit the longer track one. His technical knowledge comes across well when he gets the chance to use it. Rowe and Sam both shout the same as they do but at least Kel can string a sentence together when he interjects. Dave is in no way better than Nigel but he is better than Jack but then a gibbering idiot is better than Jack. He is decent and that is pretty good for speedway. -
This place gets more bonkers every day and we can say with some conviction that the lunatics really have taken over the asylum I am sure you will

Swedish Elitserien 2014, Round 7&10
pandorum replied to Ghostwalker's topic in International World of Speedway
Watt was a mistake. If they had MM they would probably had won. If they had Greg Laguta it would be over by now. Good meeting. Enjoyed it. Smederna gave it a go and were a bit unlucky. But Piraterna are a good side. -

They have just repeated the Lokatev race that never was. So funny those two make total clowns of themselves. -

I think it's how you pronounce it mate. Think of Przemyslaw Pawlicki is called Shemek (sic) so the prz must have a 'sh' sound. Never noticed it that way on Polish matches though. We need your buddy Pawel to keep us right -
