  1. http://kanalsport.dk/programoversigt keep checking here as it has the TV schedule
  2. Let's hope it's better than yesterday's Polish borefest. Not sure who I want to get the final slot I like Greg Laguta but it would be cool to see Chris Harris involved.
  3. The Gdansk match was not as dull as this one. Hopefully it will liven up in the second half.
  4. the bloke doing the score caption seems off his t*ts on something I don't think ONE of the captions has been an ACTUAL speedway score
  5. Good meeting enjoyed that as you say all that's missing from EL speedway. Great crowd and wonderful atmosphere. Looked as if you were watching a proper sporting event rather than some lads playing about in a field watched by several dozen people under a tin shed
  6. I get this all the time. I would buy their bloody record if they would just shut up. I wonder if KK will get the Middlo treatment?
  7. Anyone who qualifies deserves their place. Surely that is the point of having a qualification system. If Pavlic gets in on the track in his backyard then he deserves his place as he got it through a qualifier. Harris and the Brit question is different as Chris usually whines himself a place and frankly it's time it stopped for our little island nation. We have no riders capable of challenging for an SGP title and we are probably so far behind the rest we will have landed on Mars before we find one. If we keep getting these pity picks then we will never find the will to try and even deserve a place in the series. The cold hard truth is Britain is a speedway backwater and there are plenty of nations producing top class riders than us. We have no riders on the horizon that will progress to the Polish, Swedish, Danish or any of the other top European leagues. Our riders cannot make the sport pay here let alone over there. Look at Steady he is a part time speedway rider and one of our top lads. How are people like Auty and Cook going to make that step up? Mostly they will level out at PL heat leader and maybe bit player in the EL. Our top man (prospect wise) learned the ropes in Australia. Where are the riders of his caliber learning their trade here? A big fuss was made about the 'quality' of the British Final. How many of that lot ride in the top leagues. Even the British Champion only rides in division one in Poland. We need to be absent from SGP just to wake us up a bit as to how far we have fallen this last 20/30 years. Only then might we attempt to do something about it.
  8. Vaculik has proved his credentials so deserves a place by whatever route. Ward should be offered a spot however many Aussies there are. There are plenty of riders who have not had a chance before any Brit as we don't have any that deserve a pick. If Woffy wants to be in it he should get in the top 3 of the challenge. If Harris gets a pick then the whole SGP is a farce as he deserves nothing and has had more than enough chances and I like the guy. Chuck MJJ in and see what happens. Put Greg Laguta in. Stick one of the Ukranians in. None of them could do any worse than Harris or Ljung. And NKI is one of the best riders in any league of 2012 so why should he not get a pick. In the end it will all depend on what Poland does and we will likely as not end up with the same 16 we had this year
  9. I am sure Middlo learned a LOT from last night. Such as the fact that we are so far behind the rest of the top nations that our chances of winning the SWC in the next 10 years are probably less than zero. Good chance for the newcomers to shine but only Cook did about OK. But he did better than some of our so called top men. It would be a useful exercise if it was followed up by further matches here and abroad but it won't so anything gained by it will soon be squandered. Woffy is no wimp but it shows how far we have fallen when our top prospect deems the one and only 'Test match' for Team GB in 2012 to be less valuable than an outing in Sweden. I don't blame him as such as Sweden is a good earner for him whilst last night probably wasn't and he is carrying an injury. But it is disappointing all the same.
  10. Bit of a shame as meetings like this are designed with him in mind. But that probably explains why we are so poor and it's not all down to Woffy's attitude. At least we will give a few young guns a chance to show what they can do. Woffy's loss is someone like Cook's gain.
  11. only option is Orange on soccer live and can't get anything there. coolsport usually do it but they aint bothering
  12. We here have the same problem with Chris Harris
  13. owned for the 2nd time by Andy and Bjarne. So much so they could have stopped, swapped bikes and still beat the over rated MJJ. :)
  14. They should have cancelled the meeting until it was smoothed out. Very inconsiderate. Now it's pouring down. They did not take this long for the whole SWC.
  15. These Danish meetings do drag on. 1 hour in 3 heats. Jepsen Jensen big girls blouse. No wheelie tonight then. Karpov and BP owned him in that one and he had to cheat to get past BP. :) Should have taken his flowers home and watered them Gating tart Jensen.
  16. could you not make it an hour earlier as I have to go to the library to get a print off.
  17. He did do well but I hope that a half decent finish will not result in another wild card for him as there are far too many decent riders who deserve half the chances he has had. Ward, MJJ, Vaculik, G Laguta are just a few of those who deserve a chance to show what they can do. Bomber has used up all of his chances. The only Brit who deserves even consideration is Woffinden and he has too many riders in front of him. Britain does not deserve a rider in SGP unless we qualify.
  18. no surprise there then Basically pointless meeting as what will the result tell anyone other than our first team is not very good. Pretty much a wasted opportunity to give the young upandcoming riders a chance. Give Auty a chance and maybe Cook and Roynon. Then the exercise will not be just another meaningless challenge.
  19. I wasn't advocating Ben Barker for the GP Simply saying Harris is so dire GP wise that Barker deserved a chance before him. I like Harris but he is abject at the top level There is no way GB deserves a pick. Even Tai has not done enough to merit one. Of the picks available MJJ and Martin Vaculik are bankers and there will be plenty of others more deserving than one of our riders.
  20. It would be a waste if the line up of GB was filled with the usual suspects instead of a few young newcomers. Roynon and Cook deserve a chance and surely Auty. The Worrall's would also have been in contention. Perhaps the start of something useful for Team GB. Well done to Poole for maybe starting the ball rolling. Now we need test matches at both NL and PL level and the senior team to do as Chris Harris suggests and tour Poland,Sweden etc as well as some positive discrimination for GB riders here. Give our riders a chance to learn and maybe, just maybe we will do more than just make up the numbers in SWC.
