  1. What's happened now has time stopped in the Ukraine?
  2. Is it now going to be settled by some kind of dance competition? Scunny could not get an FIM ticket but this lot did?
  3. Not a bad meeting. Good crowd. Good atmosphere with a crowd who get into it. Weirdness. No Ninja's today sadly but a man dressed as a penis which was certainly unexpected. Some good racing as well and now lot's of dancing.
  4. not nice when you get replaced before you even get a chance to fail miserably. Some of the poor lads have not even had a chance to do a Chris Harris
  5. It's been on and off this last hour or so. the rain stopped and you could see the riders on the track walk. Probably start again just before the off.
  6. Excellent glad I caught this. The standard of reserve is so much better than our EL. This Hancock bloke is quite good I do believe. It's raining at the moment but hope the match goes ahead. Nice clear stream.
  7. I don't understand why they are charging for all the matches. The streams are hardly great with one camera angle. I remember watching once with someone's elbow blocking half the first bend. It's not worth it really and the advertiser must be losing out a lot if people are not paying. Credit card charges are a problem for some as you say. I enjoyed it last season but will not pay money for what they are offering.
  8. Well I meant it tongue in cheek as they deserve all they get from the highest to the lowest but I guess the sport has to keep the cost down. Can't see our top league lasting much longer...
  9. depends..... if a rider has 3 GPs as a wild card then I would say he may struggle to get that. And I like the guy.
  10. It's lucky some of these 'top' riders don't have to depend on points money At least Emil has woken up.
  11. thanks gents. language does not worry me as it's a nice change from sky what happened to coolsport. thought they were doing this considering the star talent on parade hardly great meeting so far
  12. anyone got a link that works having trouble
  13. If they ever sort out their problems and get a GP then it will be one amazing occasion. They will probably re enact the siege of Leningrad during the interval or Napoleons retreat from Moscow. Beats the hell out of our sad two hours. Beautiful women dressed as toy soldiers, ninjas, a bloke in a bear suit, fireworks, a huge crowd and the rider leading the SGP as a reserve. Absolutely incredible. Great to see Artem Laguta as I like that guy. Would have been interesting to see him match up with Crump at the end as jason had it figured out. I would have still bet on Laguta but it would have been nice to see.
  14. Wasn't being critical but it is without doubt weird. Like an episode of the Magic Roundabout on crack. What a fantastic occasion it is with a huge crowd and reserves like Crump and Sullivan. The racing is not great but being there must be awesome which is not something you can say about the Elite league which is a turgid two hours interspersed with one or two fantastic speedway races. I shudder to think what will be next on the performance area. Hope we get some more of this over the next few months as it is one hell of an entertaining couple of hours with some speedway in between.
  15. This is pretty surreal but makes the Elite League look like something some kids put on in an old muddy field.
  16. Another country that makes our efforts in speedway look amateurish. Hell of a stadium and the crowd is building nicely. They even have the old Communist flag on parade. Yes the music is a bit bizarre to say the least.
  17. cheers Alan do we know who will be replacing Laguta? Is it Jason? Also what is the race format in Russian league?
  18. This is fantastic. I saw some clips of Russian speedway and the stadia and crowds looked great. Saw the U21 last year until the stream broke down and that was excellent. Any idea of the teams?
  19. Good man Paul a very nice and much appreciated touch to the meeting.
  20. At first I did not understand what was going on as I don't speak Polish but came here and saw the news. I stayed with it for a while and was expecting the meeting to be abandoned. Total respect to Rafal Darzynkiewicz And Krzysztof Cegielski for refusing to carry on the commentary. The scenes in the pits told a very sad story. Lee's former team mate Jonas Davidsson looked pretty bad and to me that was it but they carried on and I could not understand that. Jonas went out in a heat and moved a yard and then stopped as he did not want to race. Yes there was a very good crowd but the news was too much for several of the riders who were probably good friends of Lee. I turned off the stream and later learned that common sense prevailed and it was cancelled. It's a hard decision and I would not envy those who were tasked with making it. Whatever was done would be wrong in someone's eyes. Of course everyone will have to eventually return to normal and just carry. Lee wasn't the first and likely will not be the last as the sport is a dangerous one. I will watch Sky tonight to see what they say about Lee but am not going to bother with the speedway as just not in the mood today.
  21. Respect to both of them. I have stopped watching as I agree with them. Jonas went out for a race and moved a yard because his mate has just died. What a silly and sad decision to continue.
  22. Jonas was his team mate and he looked very upset. I think they should just call it a night. I thought Lee was battered and bruised but OK when they put him in the ambulance. What a bloody shame. Sky will call of tomorrows match I presume as a mark of respect.
  23. I was watching and wondered what had happened. Good grief. What a tragedy for the sport. so sad!
  24. I like Chris he is a decent speedway rider. But he will never be a threat to the SGP. Last night he looked worse than usual and then picked up a bit which is usually his SGP season. His top 3 aspirations look a bit shaky and he should look to a more achievable goal of holding onto 15th which is far from certain. As far as 2013 goes he deserves no pick so only the challenge should be open to him. SGP does not need a Brit rider in the SGP but Britain needs a rider in the SGP. We frankly don't deserve one. Young Tai has the right idea in qualifying on merit. Chris will fail miserably again this year and then try to whine his way to a pick. His Polish manager was right he is 'weak' and will never be one of the greats. A decent league rider indeed but world class....never! He has had his chances so it's time to hand his charity pick to someone else.
