I agree Grachan. If a rider is brave/confident enough to take a flier then fair play if they get it right, chances are if they get it wrong they will be excluded for tape touching, or at the very least they will completely miss the start due to having to pull the bike back as the tapes go up. It also annoys me that a lot of refs stop the race immediately if someone does move at the start, why not let it go round the first turn and then see if anyone gets an unfair advantage?

Hope the ref doesn't get any splinters in his backside from that fence. Great quote from Millard though, 'Gollob and Hampel were not poles apart there!'
