and just to help...though i don't know why you couldn't find it yersel....Billund
The season isn't even underway yet------maybe when a club finds themselves struggling they might decide Nickis wages are not so bad after all.But imo,Polish speedway looks very dodgy at the moment.A lot of the clubs must surely be in hock what with those fabulous looking stadia they have recently built
Think that is the wrong take on the situation. The Polish clubs hit financial trouble and wanted to re-negotiate the agreed contracts for this season.Nicki refused to agree to a lower pay deal.So basically pulled out rather than being axed, imo.
Not a lot......i remember her being quite impressive for Holsted in the 80cc class(although i seem to remember having trouble staying within the confines of the Holsted track). But in all honesty it is a bit of a marketing stunt from the Polish club really. She isn't Danish Superliga standard from what i have seen of her on 500cc.But she did have a bad crash which might have put her back a bit.She did get quite a good result a couple of years back in the Ukraine i remember.
Live updates from todays meeting....
Diedenbergen v Brokstedt
although this site isn't normally that quick....maybe here is a better option?
Diedenbergen v Brokstedt
From what i heard he has been troubled with mechanical gremlins most of the season.Plus someone who was talking to the Russians asked and was told Arkhipov was giving 100% effort, but in the Russian qualis that isn't enough!!!!
Seems from what Jacky has sent to speedway-forum.de,Ivan Ivanov has not been allowed to start because of his injuries. It was obvious last week in Berlin he couldn't race.Stefan Svensson has also dropped out.So Skabraut und Lindström start and Sven Holstein and Swedish rider Olsson are reserves

If my memory is right Jim....it was me that you disagreed with on the spot the track was in.....but no need to apologise..it is one of those things....you always disagree with me
Just seen that post....but "most of the guys look like sausages...."
What with that and f-s-p's classic Franky Zorns mullet not meeting FIM rules post.....
Must say i never liked the place.I was also at the first meeting. In fact i went to 4 of the first 5 meetings,so i gave it a chance. But after that i only went to the Wimbledon league meeting, the World Team Cup final and the Intercontinental final in 77 was my last visit to the place
Hi Puma. The later years are probably covered in this book
Warzone Speedway.Looking at some of the team names like "Suez Lions"......I have the book but i had it delivered to an address in London,so i haven't read the book yet......Maybe someone else has???
