  1. To discuss this reasonably without winding people up or point scoring,it isn't much of a surprise.I am not one of those who thinks Jagus will do that good this year.If he finishes in the automatic qualifying positions that will surprise me.I think about 10th.Gollob is going down hill for the last few years and Holta will be about one or 2 positions below Jagus.I did say i didn't expect much in the way of excitement or entertainment from Ulamek and was about right. The big disappointment for me is that Hampel doesn't seem to be progressing much in the last 2 years. Not sure why this is Thought by now he would be challenging for 4th or 5th place in the GP table, maybe better.
  2. Pretty much as expected, although i am surprised at how good Simon was.Now for the semi in Vojens Anyone know the draw?
  3. A really super performance from Chris.I couldn't believe it the way he was riding. And when he picked the yellow gate in the semi,i thought he had done a wrong un,but no Hope i get to see him in Denmark soon for Slangerup
  4. I can give you the answer from Ole Olsen when asked about the wildcard for the German GP.The system is the same for all GPs i guess."We will talk with a lot of people of course the German Federation among them.We have an idea who is good enough and who comes into the equation. The decision is made by the Grand Prix Bureau, which is the FIM President, the CCP President and me!" Then came the question. So the German Federation has no say in the matter?Ole replied"They can make a suggestion, like any other Federation. We will sort it out together who comes in the frame"
  5. Not sure if it is on the Russian Eurosport or not. But you may have another chance. If you register Here you can get a free trial membership.Might be a long shot but you might be able to then watch live.Otherwise amonths membership is quite reasonable.Just a thought
  6. Blimey was it that long ago I just remember the comment that the tracks he was used to could fit into one corner at Pardubice
  7. Well to be honest i don't know.I have only seen him doing Ice Speedway, where he is one of the top riders in the world. He must have some talent at dirt track speedway to be in the Ekstraliga now,but he might have never seen a track as small as a British one.Rather like Chris Kerr(was it?)who last year had never seen a track as big as Pardubice. Pity about Tobi.He is erratic but could have pulled a few surprises.Ramon on the other hand will struggle badly i fear as will Kurz.
  8. Depends on which bikes he has,but if Daniil has his Ice bikes then no-one will get near him
  9. Thanks both for very informative answers.I wasn't sure on the attendances.I just had it in my head that they would be around 3,4 or 5,000.Like Anders says, maybe to soon to make a proper analysis though.Just wondered what the feeling was.And terrible what Mikael says about Smederna and their achievements being ignored. .I hope you all have an entertaining and successful season ahead. Thanks again
  10. Yeah and i'm supposed to know that am i?. Still what ever happens in your family has nowt to do with this,so i don't think it is justified Anyway, slightly off topic, but didn't Kenny have a brother that was going well on superbikes or something.Seem to remember him being the next big British talent.Anyone know what happened to his bike career?
  11. Is the downturn in attendance figures continuing? They do seem pretty poor figures.Just wonder how clubs will be affected having all these top stars and maybe paying wages based on 2005 crowd figures and then a big slump
  12. They were both riding last year.Caused me problems as well.
  13. Quote 1 above Quote 2 below also from Shazzy about another riders off track activities:unsure:

  15. Hey,your right to give your opinion Of course speedway isn't in a great state here compared with other countries. But Germany now has 3 riders in the Elite league. And getting established, not just making up the numbers. And i do think Kevin Wölbert is a great prospect. And must say René Deddens really impressed me at the weekend. Then the attendance at Brokstedt the other week(4,000)was also a great upswing.Just a few years ago it was half that. And the guys who promote the Night of Speedway and Wittstock are doing a great job in promoting speedway. There are some pluses amongst all the negatives.I agree though that the Bundesliga seems to get worse year-by-year.And like you i have heard reasons why this year they were stuck with such a low points limit and that is not good
  16. I guess Teterow were not helped as originally they had named Wölbert,Hlib and Johansson in their side.Might have made it a more even contest if two or more of those had turned up.But this is part of the problem we have in Germany. It's either riders pulling out at the last minute.David Howe supposedly dropped out of the Master of Speedway meeting just before midnight friday.Or promoters are advertising riders who haven't even been contacted,as happened to Smoli recently
  17. And yet another top name beaten by Kevin Wölbert yesterday Gollob! Well done maximum man!!!! Ok,it was only Jacek......

  19. Think you have to question the strength of some countries entries here. Why bother entering a competition if you are going to send B or C quality riders.Germany + Sweden for instance couldn't have taken this competition very seriously. At least Austria and Cz Republic did
  20. Just an update on this.It does appear as if Eurosport are showing the GP live this weekend. Here Hope this is true and they show the remaining GPs as well.
  21. It was supposed to be Tobi Kroner + Sönke Petersen for Germany.Sönke is now out for a few months at least. Not sure who comes in for him.The reserves were listed as Demmel,Kurz,Pudel +Stanek.None of them should trouble the top riders Oops.Just seen i put Tobi Kroner instead of Tobi Busch

  23. Esbjerg 48 K.Bjerre (3,2',0,3,3,3)14+1 B.Lyngsø (1,3,3,3,2',1)13+1 M.Korneliussen (3,3,3,0,1,2)12 K.Jacobsen (0,1,1,0,0)2 J.Kikkenborg (1,2',1,3,0) Slangerup 39 G.Walasek (2,1,3,6^,2,2,2)18 D.Jeleniewski (0,2,2,1,1',1',3)10+2 S.Aldén (1',0,0,2,0,1)4+1 H.Vedel (2,0,2',2',1,0)7+2 J.Kristiansen (0,0)0 Photos A real team effort from Esbjerg.Really looked like they wanted to win.Very impressed with the two youngsters, especially Kikkenborg who was the Dagens Fighter. He was well chuffed to win a 5-1 with Mads over Jeleniewski and Aldén.Then he comes out later and beats Walasek and Jeleniewski And a great last heat win for Kenneth stalking and passing Walasek.Who says he is a gating tart? Good to see Henning Bager and met Matten Kröger at a petrol station on the way to denmark. Both hoping to get back on track soon.Quote of the day goes to Mads, when i asked how tracks in Denmark are compared to England.Well it's a family forum so i can't put his reply on here
