  1. It's easier to let the stigma go than win a match lol!
  2. Good news for Brummies fans, I keep reading on fb that King's Lynn are going to get the wooden spoon lol!
  3. I still don't understand the call-off. The weather was lovely, you can't just ignore one forecast & pick the one that suits you best. They had Lawson & Brennan lined up as guests, r/r for Tarasenko allows every rider an extra ride, so there was no reason to call it off due to the teams strength. If there was no facility for Tarasenko or Zmarzlik was his replacement I could understand the ruse, but still condemn it. But if King's Lynn are planning to call off every match when they may lose, they'll hardly get any speedway raced!
  4. I normally think it's stupid to put r/r at 2 if it means your number one gets an extra outing in heat 8. Seems a waste of Musielak's ability putting him out to beat a "rising star". However Lynn have been so poor, it means they'll be more likely to at least reach 30 points now, so maybe it does make sense.
  5. I don't think they are riding for their jobs, Birmingham have made no hints they are looking to strengthen up & the first rider available (Klindt) wasn't snapped up.
  6. This confuses me more, if Tarasenko quit, then he'd get a 28 day ban & Lynn would be allowed a facility. So Lawson & Brennan are decent guests, r/r for Tarasenko means everyone gets an extra ride, that doesn't weaken them at all, so why call it off? *It doesn't occur to me that it may have been due to one particular weather forecast.
  7. Not the best 2 riders in the league. But certainly Oxford have the strongest top 2.
  8. Smith seems the obvious pick to me. Won a heat for Scunthorpe, just make sure you don't use him at Plymouth.
  9. 22nd May is the earliest Boughen & Killeen would get new figures.
  10. Instead of making a joke on Twitter would Stead / Sheffield promotion not be better off making an official complaint to the SCB?
  11. Looking at the May averages, Lynn will be 2.37 below the limit. Klindt could replace anyone in the team (except Rowe).
  12. Now normally I'd say it's far too early to be thinking of team chances. But for May Oxford will be 1.97 below the limit. They could drop Henry Atkins for a rider up to 6.25, but would need to make the change before Boughen & Killeen get new averages (no massive rush yet) but they've shown with Klindt, they're not afraid of making tough decisions. Or they could fit in Erik Riss for Jenkins? Oxford Sam Masters 9.05 Scott Nicholls 8.54 Erik Riss 7.68 Cameron Heeps 4.77 Henry Atkins 4.28 Ashton Boughen 2.00 Luke Killeen 2.00 Total 38.32
  13. Interesting times see that despite their poor start to the season, 6 of Redcar's team have upped their averages for May. I guess it shouldn't be a massive surprise, with the British reductions / low points limit, but can't say I expected it.
  14. Oxford shouldn't have been allowed to drop Klindt & use a guest for Kerr.
  15. As long as he didn't leave while GB had a chance of winning, that doesn't bother me. Mind you, can't remember the exact year(s), Robert Lambert got entered into the GP qualifiers, despite not racing in the British final, placings from this meeting should decide who's nominated imo. So if riders loyal to British Speedway/ the British final get overlooked, how can we expect them to be loyal in return (country ahead of club)?
  16. The British sides selected by Allen & Stead, seem to follow a list of rides, which doesn't change. Woffy, Lambert, Bewley for SON Add Ellis, Brennan for SWC So for European events it's Bewley, Ellis, Brennan, Harris (then dropped for Jenkins). Now we have Boughen ahead of Dan T. It seems like ability doesn't move you up the "rankings" mainly how willing riders are to travel. Connor Bailey as U21 Champ not a reserve for Cardiff as he didn't travel for European events for example.
  17. That doesn't bother me as much as the fact that rider A could win the world title ahead of rider B, because rider C beat rider D in a race they are not in (different semi finals).
  18. The simple answer is no seeded riders. Or one seed (to cover for injury). Top 7 from previous years GP qualify. SEC Champion. Winner of qualifiers (for non-gp riders). Top 6 from GP Challenge. 1 seed GP Challenge is: The bottom 9 GP riders U21 Champ Overseas Champ (USA, Australasia) basically non SEC countries. 2nd - 6th from qualifiers (for non-gp riders). Imo a riders age / nationality / gender / race should NEVER come into it.
  19. Is it really any "damage" Ipswich will 99.99% make the top 4, doesn't matter what position they finish in (1st - 4th).
  20. Is Adams suggesting that this is a positive? In effect is he saying "people thought we were gonna get thrashed, but it turns out we're only getting beaten not thrashed?"
  21. They have established a "rhythm" they had a couple of good starts to matches then lost, now they've stopped their good start to matches & still lose. No wins in 5 matches, sounds like they've established a rhythm to me?
  22. Same thing happened with Laguta last year, 7 day ban - no meetings missed.
  23. If Birmingham don't make a change (Klindt for Lampart for example) then keep losing at home, it could certainly hurt their crowds cause it'd either appear, they are not trying to strengthen up, or more worryingly think they don't need to strengthen up.
  24. I'm glad the grading rules are not set in the rulebooks, allows clubs to grade at the correct times (as long as they have common sense). I remember Berwick used to grade at the same time every week, for example after heats 4,7,11,14? Then if a team had r/r with reserves having 2 on the trot, they'd still follow that plan. So there could be 2 on the trot between heats 3&4 (delay) then track grading between heats 4&5 (delay) then 2 on the trot between heats 5&6 (delay). It never seemed to occur to them to grade the track when a rider had 2 on the trot!
