  1. Has he really? His average has been around or above 9.00 (2023 figures) until the Poole match, only since then has his scoring faltered.
  2. TJs average meant they started weaker, but as soon as it dropped & they could replace Stoneman (2.00) with Hook (4.00), they were back on par with a 40.00 limit, so that could no longer be used as an excuse for having a poor team. If they got caught out with his average, that would be very poor, it's been a (stupid) rule for a few seasons now
  3. The problem is the timing of the ban, if Birmingham get a 28 day facility, that would run out after the transfer cut-off date. I assume they'd get a facility for the season, is that what happened to Plymouth with Barker last year?
  4. Now he is, with Kemp dropping to 7 & getting the easier rides. Ablitt has done very well to improve, but don't believe Scunny have done anything Poole didn't do.
  5. Are Scunthorpe actually treating Ablitt any better than Poole though? They use him at number 6, which means zero heat 8s (less than he got at Poole) plus rides against the 1+2 / 3+4 pairing, while Mountain meets a reserve in all 4 programmed rides. I would say Scunthorpe have the exact same attitude to Poole when it comes to "apprenticeships" and "giving the youngsters a chance". Obviously he's getting 4 rides more often, but that's due to him scoring more points. If he was continuing his Poole form he'd likely only be getting 3 rides each match, same as last year!
  6. I still find it hard to believe Glasgow would drop a 3.5+ rider for a 2.00 newcomer, no matter how promising he is?
  7. Great ride by the Pirates. Nothing wrong with the start, Hume never moved before the tapes, just a perfect start.
  8. Lambert has been honest, he's here because his foreign commitments have dried up. Kings Lynn know this & are happy to sign him under the circumstances. Lynn fans should be happy they've a stronger number one. I see no downside to the situation.
  9. They're not cheats, they told the BSPL they couldn't put out a team & the BSPL believed them & allowed then to cancel it. While I'm dissapointed with Lynn's actions, it's hard to blame them if they are allowed to get away with it, I'd almost begrudgingly congratulate them on outsmarting the authorities! I'm probably more annoyed with the BSPL for letting them postpone the match, than for Lynn for cancelling it! Ipswich must certainly be livid, especially of Lambert's return costs them a top 4 spot!
  10. Makes a change from the BSN series, where Jason Edwards could guest for one of his team's rivals for a semi final spot
  11. If he's out for the season, Joe T seems the obvious signing, can't think of anyone else. Joe's a better choice than Jack Smith imo
  12. I think so, I'm not 100% sure, the rules aren't easy to follow lol!
  13. Joe T could guest in the play-offs. Tbh only having 3 teams to chose from doesn't make a big difference, as with his low average there's not a lot of guest options from the top 6 teams? Ryan Kinsley would be a sensible option of they met Oxford in the final (and were still using guests).
  14. I don't blame the rider, even if he's half a lap behind, he can treat it as free/paid practice. Not sure why a club chasing the play-offs would stick with a NL reserve on their Championship side?
  15. Roynon is stronger than Joe T, so either use guests till he is back or sign Joe on a temporary contract, but I wouldn't drop Roynon unless his season was over
  16. There's plenty of riders available to guest, just not strong enough for Lynn it seems
  17. Redcar's 1-7 has shown Mulford all year, if Harrison was an injury replacement, he'd be in the 1-7. I'm guessing the Harrison's decided guesting was preferable so he wouldn't get an average above 2.00 for next season (or Redcar only offered him the guest spot)?
  18. Run the Championship at a really low limit 35/36? To encourage them to step up. Champ clubs run with 2 heat leaders, 2 second strings & 3 NL riders?
  19. Especially when teams have been fined for fielding under-strength teams but have still won!
  20. Luke wasn't a temporary replacement, he was just used as a guest each week, so Workington get priority.
  21. Yes - because he didn't win all 6 heats. I he didn't have to to win the meeting, but shows he didn't have it all his own way.
  22. Pretty poor excuse to postpone the match imo, only 2 riders injured so r/r for Klindt & and Championship second string for TJ isn't much worse than they've been running all season tbh. Calling off a match because you can't find a "strong" guest just opens up a can of worms now doesn't it?
  23. With Dan T out injured & "no facility" available, should they sign Ben Morley as an injury replacement?
  24. I don't think Redcar are a threat to Poole finishing top, so I see no issue with a Poole rider guesting. I do find it interesting that many riders bemoan lack of fixtures, but clubs can still struggle to find guests at times.
