Birmingham Brummies 2020
szkocjasid replied to ProudtobeaBrummie's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Brummies look to have a decent team this year, especially as you'll always have one strong reserve! Expect you to be in the top 6! -
Until it's official, all I can do I look for available riders!

But is Kurtz more likely than Auty to beat reserves away from home though?
-
Not heard them officially announced yet!

Poole Pirates 2021
szkocjasid replied to Pirates Of Poole's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
There is no Premier League any more, I take it you mean the Premiership? If so, can't agree with your suggestion of their team strength! -
Looking at the averages, Sheffield could have fitted in Josh Auty at reserve instead of Todd Kurtz! As Auty is a track specialist at Owlerton, I'm surprised they haven't gone for him!
-
I agree, Jonasson is a good signing on his ave!
-
No, I'm saying Ledwith can't get a 2.00 ave due to an ave of 25 years ago, could've been 3.00 though! As Andrew Silver & Stuart Swales were assessed at 4.00 maybe that's their policy? As for the NL it seems if you need an assessed ave it's either 6.00, 3.50 or 2.00?
-
I believe the NL make their own rules?
-
Only at the start of the season, if Stewart keeps improving, he'd soon be a second string!
-
Yeah BWD's average wouldn't be "bumped up" because he didn't ride Champ, it would be "converted" because he only rode Prem! A fairer way of explaining it!
-
Ellis got an 8.00 ave for Birmingham but would sign on 7.80 with NL reduction, seems a good signing to me!
-
I would've signed up Morley in a heartbeat, but not sure how he'd fit in with the other signed riders?
-
There's no way Kent could have expected Ledwith to be on a 2.00 ave, as the rule was set that anyone who has previously averaged above 3.00 gets a minimum ave of 3.00! That is how William Lawson was on a 3.00 ave for Edinburgh at times last season when is actual average was below this!
-
Yeah, i''ll say 8.1!

Gotta say, I feel Peterborough look one of the strongest teams so far! 3 decent heat leaders & both reserves will be potent (whichever 2 they are)!

Chris Harris winning the Final at Cardiff springs to mind! -
While I don't agree with play-offs for the title & most of what's said should be true, pretty much everything Dale Allit said in the Speedway Star is false! Consistency won't win you the league - 2 matches will!King's Lynn have not won the league, so it's not a fact!
