  1. Could not agree with you more, would be a massive sham if it happened.
  2. I hear this every year, but clubs shouldn't be able to avoid racing in good weather just because they want the second leg.
  3. Having the first leg of the semi final at home didn't seen to hinder Belle Vue. But you can imagine a decent performance away in the first leg, could really lead to a massive crowd for the home leg.
  4. One thing I have noticed is people thinking riders near the bottom of the series haven't been good enough & don't deserve to be in the GPs. But if the GP hosted the 15 best riders in the world, the guy in 15th place, would still be better than anyone not in the series. Not that this was the case this year, as it looked the weakest GP field of recent memory (perhaps ever). Simple solution would be getting rid of wild cards (or limiting them further).
  5. It's not ideal that the SEC is a qualifier for the SGP as "normally" Aussies & yanks etc can't compete in it. But I far prefer it to wild cards!
  6. Have to say I think that's a terrible idea, it "should" be for the best riders in the world. If the SGP2 riders are good enough they can qualify. I'd support the SGP2 Champ being seeded to the GP Challenge, but not straight into the GP. Much prefer only having 2 wildcards though.
  7. That's something I've always wondered, yes we can't deny the play-offs get big crowds. But do people stay away from other matches because they no longer decide the title?
  8. Ablitt is an improving rider & may have looked good riding for the Cubs, but the NDL is a long long way from the Prem, he'd have been beating riders not even good enough for Champ reserve spots. Edwards would be my first choice as RS, think he's score plenty more if dropping to 7. But if someone else picks him, Ablitt could be one of the better "second choices"
  9. Ta, really can't understand the logic behind that though. Normally every team starts equal (using the points limit) so why do this differently?
  10. You also said I do think it matters who finishes top. You just didn't say it should be decided on track lol!
  11. Why would someone laugh at these posts? Seems in very poor taste!
  12. Foord has done very well, but very inexperienced at Champ level, so next year may be one of consolidation. I'm guessing Poole would be looking for another 2.00 rider to get to 3+ or a 4.00 rider to rise to 5+?
  13. That's absolute nonsense & not a rule.
  14. How can an official remove someone mid match? When the team was declared, should've been picked up then.
  15. While I've read that many times on here, I've never seen that listed in the official rules. Aside from that, what a pointless rule - why punish clubs for successful seasons?
  16. If it's a 40 point limit. Redcar Charles Wright 8.37 Kyle Howarth 7.27 Jason Edwards 6.18 Dan Gilkes 5.08 Jacob Hook 4.28 Jake Mulford 4.27 Zaine Kennedy 4.27 Total 39.72
  17. I guess it's possible Edinburgh noticed, but didn't say anything till after the match, to increase their chances of qualifying lol!
  18. Guested for Workington at Poole in the semi final, so not allowed to guest for a different club in the semis / finals. It's a bit unprofessional that neither Scunthorpe nor the BSPL knew the rules before the match, why was his inclusion permitted? It's possible no-one would've noticed, but it's one of the changes caused by last years Premiership play-offs "issues".
  19. Nope, the team limit would be 42 of they wanted to keep team strengths the same. Not been 45 since bonus points were included.
  20. The problem with that, is riders who are genuinely injured, then have to wait to return, meaning more unnecessary guests - at a time when people say there are far too many. Or they could even attempt to ride when not fit & be a danger to others because they don't want to miss a big meeting. I do agree more should be done to stop riders picking & choosing meetings, but where do you draw the line?
  21. This could've happened a great many times even without riders guesting this year! Masters Leicester vs Oxford Jenkins Ipswich vs Oxford Harris Glasgow vs Oxford Wright Redcar vs Oxford Kerr Berwick vs Oxford Kemp Berwick vs Oxford Cook Workington vs Oxford All of these riders may have ridden against Oxford while being signed for Oxford in another league.
  22. If I was Belle Vue or Workington I'd want both in my team for 25.
