I wouldn't say I'm a 100% Certain Kevin, but it seems Mr Michelsen could be close to becoming a Witch in next few days. But as we all Know in this Sport, 1 Phone Call,a Dodgy Visa or something else like Laguta not being brave enough to turn up every week, things can change very quickly.

It seems a few who have named our Doyle Replacenent could be right and announcement is imminent, the hard work by Chris and Ritchie and I'm sure Guy Nicholls may soon be rewarded with a GP Rider signing.

Yes there is a bit of Dis Taste towards Tai after last Season's antics from those Witches fans that travelled,and clearly heard what he said. But that's Sport at the Top level and as its been said on here by so many, that is Tai Woofinden, it's how he is. That has gone from Last Season, Sheffield won it coz we couldn't defend an 18 Point Lead and they are the current Champions. But we go into Monday with a Decent Septet, all be it with 2 Guests, but Good Guests to give Sheffield a right tough meeting. For me it will be close,as it should be from 2 of the top 3 teams in the League this season. And I would also think our Big Change at the top is close to being announced. So many Names been mentioned, and the wait can be painful for us Fans, but knowing how hard Chris and Ritchie are working to get the right man in, I'm sure the wait will be worth it.

Positives for the Brummies last night in Lindgren needed no time to settle and Tom Brennan and Viktor Lampart also looked quick. I think you obviously lost the Semi Final at Home on Monday,8 points up and fail to take a lead was worrying for the Birmingham boys. But last night at Reserve for me was your huge problem,Leon Flint tried hard,but just didn't get involved in enough races,but I agree,Pawlicki looked woeful,I praised him up on Monday,and to be fair said to some Brummie Supporters I think it will be Zack Cook that goes,but don't know if that was the correct decision. Trouble is who is out there for you to bin Pawlicki,hope it gets sorted,as enjoyed my 2 visits to Birmingham this season. Good Club,great Supporters.

Maybe he has managed to convince Jan Kvech over, and he comes on a 6 point average apparantly. Or even better for the Stars Robert Lambert is coming back, if so all good for the British Speedway scene.

I wouldn't think Laguta is in their plans at the moment, as i said i wouldn't rule him out, but he will be a last ditch desperate choice if every other avenue is burnt. It's clear they want reliability and Commitment, especially the position the team is in...And Laguta doesnt bring either of those, thats not just to Ipswich, i would say that about any team in the Premier Division, he would be a last ditch option for all 7 Teams.

Nothing surprises me in this wonderful sport i love anymore, But even i know if it was Lambert, somebody would have to pick me up off the floor.

All i know is they are working tirelessly to get the right kind of rider into our team that fits the criteria of Team Spirit that this Witches septet have built up through the early stages of this season. And on Monday evening at Birmingham, at the end of the meeting....Vaculik and Dudek were definetly not part of any discussions with Chris and Ritchie, and from what was said, i doubt that has changed in any way. They had been turned down by 1 GP rider, but they expected that anyway, and i would go as far as saying these 2 are seriously trying thier hardest to bring a rider in....For in their words an Irreplaceable rider in Jason Doyle. It seems very difficult to get the right rider in, but im nobody, just a fan who watches Home and Away most of the season, and i know they are frustrated in their efforts to gain a new Heat Leader. But those 2 named above, and Laguta were not part of any ongoing discussions as of Monday about 10pm. I would just add, i wouldnt rule out Laguta, nothing was said, but i just wouldnt rule him out. And for what its worth...And this was not part of anything discussed, just my opinion, i wouldnt be shocked if they made 2 Changes and not just bring in a Replacement for Jason, but thats not from a reliable source, thats from me who just has a hunch.

It's just not those 3, and it couldn't of come from a more reliable source, the only one that could change is Laguta,but its definitely not the other 2.

As we sit this morning I can honestly say it won't be Laguta,whether he wants to ride here or not, as its not Dudek or Vaculik.

You maybe correct on that as it seems nobody really knows all the rules and most change as the season goes on. I'm only relaying what I was told for Thursday, and I'm sure that's what was said about Dan Thompson,but to be fair I was taking in the fact we had Sam Masters in,so maybe I wasn't concentrating??

Ipswich on Thursday have Adam Ellis Returning (Allegedly) and the 2 guests booked as we speak are Chris Harris and Sam Masters. And Dan Thompson will be R/R The hunt for Doyley's replacement is still ongoing and Chris and Ritchie are working tirelessly to get this over the line, but no definite Yes yet. Wouldn't surprise me if 2 changes are made, but that's just my opinion. Great result last night, 2nd time I've been to Birmingham in a week, and have to say the hospitality was top draw on both occasions and a very friendly crowd. Interesting to see who the rider is left out for Freddie when he finally can ride sometime this month.

Sorry Badge, thought i read Scotty couldnt ride in both legs this week, my error. Can Scotty ride for the Brummies Thursday then? I think we will see Bomber in our side on Thursday, just guessing though??

You could be right, Rules seem to change by the day, last week it was said we couldnt have Scott Nicholls tonight, then hes sudenly in the side??

I'm sure Chris and Ritchie have been working overtime this weekend to get in Doyley's replacement, maybe we will find out more tonight as we are off to Birmingham for another away trip. Sadly so many names linked, but none of us know what they are thinking. My only gripe at the moment is we have had no updates on Adam's injury and how long he is out for. if it is more than 4 weeks, then with only 1 Monday meeting in that time, maybe Scotty could come in for him on a 28 day injury replacement as his Eurosport commitments wont be affected that much??

Travelling down tonight for this meeting, but it does seem a bit underwhelming for a Semi-Final. There is no guarantee that Dan Thompson rides for Ipswich yet either.

Kvech comes in on a 6 point average, he's been linked with King's Lynn, but who knows. It's nice to keep guessing what Chris and Ritchie are planning, and in those 2 we have to trust....But it's the suspense. We have to get through Monday 1st, with not a huge deficit to claw back on Thursday.

Thanks Roger, as i've said on previous posts this morning, that makes Thursday's side even more interesting. Need to keep it as close as we can Monday, and hope the replacements maybe in place rather than guests??

Cheers Steve, that's cleared that up. Was looking forward to seeing Freddie back in Uk Monday but with our side, im also happy he isnt here. Our 7 will be very interesting on Thursday at our place.

Onto team matters, i don't think Zmarslik will be in Chris's thoughts, but i might be proven wrong. I see we have Blodorn in at 4 on Monday and strangely we are now allowed Scotty in at 3, is that another rule change?? I see Freddie isnt in Birmingham side for Monday, do we know why that is?? I do think this weekend though Chris will pull a Gp rider out of the bag, but Phil is right, Doyley is irreplaceable and not just on the track. I also agree, a lot will depend on the other 2, Danny i believe is close to a Return, but havent read anything on Adam anywhere, all a bit hush hush, i wonder if we could talk Scotty round as a 28 Day injury replacement if thats whats required. Well said.....Couldn't of said it any better, well with maybe a few stronger words. Absolutely Dreadful guest, awful rider, and you are correct on the cheapest option. I see we cant use Scotty at Birmingham on Monday, 8 day rule applies there, so just seeing what team we take there is interesting. Nicholls last night was simply immense.

Agreed on big decisions JJ, and with Freddie coming in,thats huge for your club and British Speedway by the way,the decision for me is a tough one. I just think Pawlicki at 4 would make you stronger, but you guys know better than me. On Batch, not harsh in my opinion mate, iv'e seen him ride for the Witches before, many many times, and he's just not for me. He could be in our side on Monday Night yet as hes in our side tonight vs Leicester. Hoping to see all you Brummies fans again on Monday night, as even though we lost last week, it was an enjoyable night and the best team won.

Travelled to Birmingham on Monday, and had a fantastic night. Very well looked after by the Brummies entertainment staff in our box. Really enjoyable evening, and i was surprised how we kept it so tight, but Birmingham deserved their win, and fair play to them. Yes we were weak, very weak in my opinion especially with Batchelor in our side (He's in again tomorrow night,god help us), but it was a good quality meeting. Listening to the Brummie supporters on the night, it seems Pawlicki is the man who will make way for Freddie, and logically that is right, but i feel Pawlicki would make Birmingham stronger riding at Number 3 or 4, but unlike you guys, i don't watch every home meeting,so its just my opinion. But for me i know he's only just signed, and it probably doesn't look good, but i would consider moving Justin Sedgman on, controversial i agree, and i expect cost of keeping Pawlicki as well as Lindgren might come into play, but i feel Pawlicki could come good. Thanks for a great night, and i will be there Next Monday as i believe we are with you again even if we lose to Leicester in Cup tomorrow night (and that is a serious possibility, as Batchelor is riding for us) as it will be a League fixture.
