Disappointing meeting , especially with such a long gap until the next home match -
When a person gets out of jail quite often his mates will take him out for a few beers to celebrate his release , one of his friends may have subbed him a few quid until he gets himself sorted , if that was was the case it know looks like they may have to wait a while to get it back

Always a tough one when you lose a last heat decider , especially if it's a rerun that goes against you , which they nearly always seem to do . Not the best of meetings due the events on track which obviously caused lengthy delays . A very under par performance from Cook which didn't help Berwick's cause ,best wishes to all the injured riders . Changes are definitely needed if The Bandits want to save the season

Forecast for this evening in Prague doesn't look great , rain for most of the night

Looking at the coverage on Discovery + I'm not very optimistic about seeing any racing tonight

Leicester v Oxford 27th May

I'd have thought it would have been better to have one person drawing the names and another drawing the numbers -
That would depend on when they took the banned substance, drugs stay in your system for a while. Would also depend on weather they were over the legal limit or not , but perhaps someone who fails a drug test in the pits should be required to take another test to se if they're over the limit for driving

After tonights result I'd expect Plymouth to be confident of another victory tomorrow night at Shielfield Regarding the car park situation surely a conversation between the promotion and the council could identify the dates when other events will be using the car park so that the speedway could work around them

Wasn't he badly injured in an off track injury ? I seem to remember something about a car crash when he was on his motorcycle I was Disappointed about this. Lee's been around long enough to know better I don't care what he's taken a Banned substance is a banned substance, all sports competitors are responsible for what they put into their body , legal or not . I always enjoyed watching him , doesn't look like il be seeing him anytime soon.

Berwick v Redcar 11/05/24 Championship

Not a problem with him riding for Berwick tonight, or any other night when he's available, surely the home team is entitled to every advantage they can get I'm sure any visiting team would be quite happy to book him if the needed a guest and he was free and able to ride for them -

That’s the reason certain painkillers and the like are banned in cycling, don’t want someone nodding off in the middle of the peloton -

The racing may not have started but the meeting started when the riders sign in , sports like football and athletics usually do the testing after the match or race has finished and they are suspended from the next match or whatever -

Isn’t it normal practice to suspend a rider or any other sportsperson until the outcome of the second test only then can any punishment be applied ? -

Is that the sound of a reversing alarm I hear, with a u-turn like that you should be a politician, or maybe it was just a fishing trip looking for a few bites , if it was looks like you were successful -

If it's something like a Lemsip or Night Nurse that causes a rider to provide a non-negative sample I still find it strange that this would happen especially after all the publicity from recent events . These types of medications are can cause drowsiness, that's one of the reasons they are banned . Surely by now riders know what's on the banned list and I'm sure team bosses will have stressed to their riders to be careful about what they are taking . If it's something stronger the I've no sympathy for any rider who fall foul of the testing regime. They're bound to know that there's always a chance that they might get tested. In both scenarios it's sheer stupidity if you get caught,. -

Looking at my weather app , it's showing 94% chance of rain on Friday for Armadale -
Always good to start the season with a couple of wins

A long term plan is only any good if they actually stick to it and don't scrap it after two seasons
