Who's saying that he is not-----?.
-
What would his average be just useing his last 20 meetings if that would count ?.
-
If there are no big heat leaders out there to replace Zagar C Cook 7.29 M Fricke 6.11 S Nicholls 6.48 M Michelsen 5.67 T Batchelor 6.91 (perhaps Mark Lemon could help get his head back on track) S Worrall 4.82 A N Other 3.00 40.28 A good few riders that should have the potential to up their averages. Would like a top no1 but with the heat leader shortage this sort of team may be the only way to go.

Sadly the way its looking Holder,Andersen and Watt would be a good top three.

Confirmed Elite League Signings 2016

So that proves my point then there is no money in the sport for big transfer fees and the asset system is out dated and riders will ride where they want. -

I dont think you get that with the state of the Elite league big transfer fees are a thing of the past. I would think that any top rider who wants to ride over here will be able to ride for any club they want the SCB will just be glad they are willing to ride over here With Nicholls it will be his 2nd year of a 2 year deal so Coventry will have agreed to that last year. -

Who in their right mind would pay out big money for a 35 year old.You also have to take into account that clubs just dont have that sort of money these days. As i said in my 1st post Belle vue have bought the only type of rider that is worth buying these days young Brits. For a few reasons the FTR system, they would not have cost that much, there is a good chance that they will ride in Britain for all there carrier and if they dont use them over the years they will get more than their money back in loan fees. -

Who in their right mind will pay out a transfer fee these days(unless its for a young Brit to give a club a good FTR rider) When your post proves that riders will ride where ever they want to.Plus any rider at any time can just decide not to ride in the Elite league anymore. The asset system just does not work anymore. The only benefit from it these days is a loan fee. -
Well done to Tai on his 2nd title and Well done to Greg on his win today. Is it just me or has the GP lost a little of its edge let me explain why i think so.Over the years there has always been 2/ 3 riders that stand a chance of winning the title. This year did anyone at any time think that Tai would not win it ?.His only challengers were two older statesmen Greg and Nicki who in the end finished well behind him. There are a few riders with long term potential but not ready for a few years yet.If time catches up with Greg and Nicki next year who out of the remaining GP riders could really challenge Tai for me no one yet.The 2 riders that could have challenged Tai are lost to the GP one for the worst reason possible Darcy Ward(boy will that guy be missed)and Emil Sayfutdinov who for some reason is showing no interest in riding in the GPs. It should be Tai,Darcys and Emils time to be the 3 great challengers for the title but for the reasons above this is sadly not to be and the GP is not a patch on what it could be with them all in it.

I dont know but i would think that if he does ride in Poland he would start with a 2nd division club their team places seem to be a bit more secure. He would join riders like M Fricke,H Andersen,F Lindgren,T Batchelor,D North and D Watt to name a few who already ride in said division. All riders he has beat many times in the Elite league so i think that he would do very well over there. P.S just found out myself for others that did not know.On 11.10.15 Cookie took part in an open meeting at Krakow a 2nd division club.He finished 2nd in the meeting scoring 10 points he beat P Dudek in a heat but finished 2nd behind him in the final.I think he may get a few offers after that result
-
The way i see it if Cookie stays at Edinburgh he cant ride in Poland(as stated in above article) so he will have to find another Elite league club.Which is fine for next year but he only has one year left where he will be allowed to double up.After that he has to choose to move up or stay in the prem league. If he stayed in prem league then not enougth meetings as he cant ride in Poland. So if he has a chance now to ride in Poland he would be imo daft not to take it,the chance might not be there the year after. So for me he has to take the chance if he has a good season in the Elite league and in Poland(where he will earn more per meeting) then there is a chance a Swedish team may show some interest. Its the only way he has a chance of earning a good living in the long run because if he stays with Edinburgh in the prem league all he will have is prem league meetings and as he says not enougth meetings to earn a living.Only my opinion which ever way he chooses i wish him the very best of luck and i will always be a big fan of his.

Have i read this right Rosco in this article says that all the FTRiders are averaged out does this mean that the 2nd tier will be as well instead of an automatic 3 point average.Much fairer if this is the case as teams will have to pick a tier 2 rider that fits into there teams combined average total and not 1st pick gets the best.eg Starke 3.60 Clegg 2.30.
-
Janowski.Watt and North out.Kasprzak Andersen and Kurtz in ?
-
We will have to wait and see on that one i hope you are right. Re who is 2nd on the list according to the last Prem league green sheet Worral has an average of 8.04 and Auty an average of 8.00 Good point if the pick for the tier 2 rider stays the same that would give us the chance of keeping Nielsen as Richie would be near the bottom end of the tier 1 list.On the other hand he could replace Steve as our FTR rider not a lot of difference in them on the track.I like your idea though i would be happy to have them both in the team.
-
If the FTR pick is the same as last year and you choose to keep Jason(which i am sure you will) wont you then get last pick of the 2nd tier riders if so do you think you will still get Sargent.Sadly it is the same for us now with the new average system for the 1st draft. S Worrall moves to 2nd on the list and we will have no chance of re signing Nielsen i am sad to say. Even the other promoters help them get riders on fake low averages re dropping Newman from 2nd to 6/7th on the FTR tier one list allowing them to pick a far better rider from tier 2
-
If Poole have started signing riders then you would think that the promoters know the heat leader list already. So why the hell have they not let the fans know.By not doing so it just causes fans to speculate and in the end tends to pi$$ the people off who they want to pay their money at the turnstiles same old b/s every year .
-
If the same as last year then they can choose to reserve one. But sorry what has that to do with the point of my post.
-
From the way it looks the tier 2 riders are to be assesed on a 3 point average to me this is wrong. If the tier 1 riders are to get a converted prem average that counts in the team building total then so should the 2nd tier riders.e.g Garrity the top tier rider has an average of 5.07 and Newman an ave of 4.10 this gives Poole 0.93 to build a stronger 1 to 5 team.Plus Poole gain with Newman at No 6 in the 1st tier draft and Garrety at no1 Poole get 3rd pick of the 2nd tier riders and Coventry get last. Where if they all get an average your team strength would dictate which 2 nd tier rider would fit into your team. As it stands Coventry lose out twice a weaker top 5 and last pick in the 2nd tier draft eg Sargent 3.00 ave Branford 2.04.
-
Will Richie Worral lose out again with this system, this year he missed out as riders on a par with him were allowed in the fast track system and he was not.Auty,Garrety,S Worral,Kerr,Wright and Newman (same prem average) all had better prem averages than him this season.Yet they will all get an average worked out from their prem league performances.Richie rode in the Elite league in 2014 and had an average of 5.53 if he has to keep that average next year will anyone sign him in the 1 to 5 when he will have an average higher than the best fast track rider.

Every thing crossed for good news today speedway needs all our clubs to run in 2016.

How Many El Teams In 2016?
B.V 72 replied to Bradford Ace's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Read all the relevant posts please Oldace. -
Oh are we still in 2014 i will come back after the AGM.
-
Yes the aces did move by choice. The choice the promoters had was to move or close down as they said that speedway was not sustainable at the dog stadium. They stuck at it for 7 long years pushing on set back after set back and more than likely running at a loss for those years. But i kept the faith in their passion to keep our club alive and it paid off. Now the Swindon promoters are in the same position. There is written evidence that they are on the case and from what i have read they have the will to get the new stadium built so the fans have to have faith that they will ride all the set backs and get the job done.Even if it takes a little longer than people had hoped. The other option is to look at what happened to other clubs and come up with all sorts of reasons with no evidence only their opinion as to why they will fail Belle vue had plenty of them.I know where i would like my head to be over the coming months.KEEP THE FAITH.

How Many El Teams In 2016?
B.V 72 replied to Bradford Ace's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Why looking at your prices for last year if you were lucky enougth to have 20 1st team/ ind meetings and went to 10 national league meetings paying at the gate and with no programme it would cost you £450 so my £444 inc programme does not seem that bad to me. -
All i can say as a Belle vue fan is there will be plenty of hold ups but keep the faith i did.
