  1. King was off the pace and struggling for Redcar the other night so the warning signs were there and I half expected a poor night from him tonight. Let’s hope it’s a blip and he hasn’t got it in his head again that there’s something wrong with his equipment that he can’t fix.. We need some sort of contribution from the rising star position. Nobody expects eye catching scores down there of course, but you want something. A change simply has to happen I’m afraid and I’m sure it will. Well done to Wolves, they were terrific it has to be said. They have so many that are comfortable at Foxhall and it showed again. Zach Cook outstanding.
  2. With Danyon’s arm pump issues it might be an idea to protect him as much as possible running R/R by not putting him in heat one so he then has two on the trot. We know he suffers later in the meeting especially when having 5/6/7 rides. Not ideal sending him out there in the first 2 heats as we’ve done previously. Common sense surely? Put Barker out with Doyle in the first heat.
  3. Sheffield need to be a bit careful as do we (Ipswich). I thought both of us were shoe ins for a play off spot but Leicester and Particularly Wolves have surprised me. Both those two look very solid. You then also have Belle Vue and now possibly Lynn also to throw in to the mix and suddenly a top 4 spot could be anyone’s and any of the pre-season favourites could easily miss out. Only Peterborough look out of the equation. Gonna be a good old scrap right til the last few fixtures I reckon which is what it should be.
  4. This type of signing should lift everybody including the riders. Seeing Laguta in your end of the pits can pull those riders along also and give them a bounce. Home win.
  5. https://ipswichwitches.co/raceday-preview-wolverhampton-sports-insure-premiership-r1-h/ R/R for Rew. King, Barker and two for Hume will take his rides. Should cover us well.
  6. Good for him. Good luck Drew hope he smashes it.
  7. Who’s missing for the Witches next week then? I’m guessing probably Rew? He has a championships meeting on the Friday, maybe there’s practice he’s needed for on the Thursday?
  8. Of course. I did personally, was absolutely gutted when he left.
  9. Sad to see how much Andersen has declined over the last couple of years. Ok the fella is now in to his 40’s so you expect a decline of sorts that’s only natural, but the decline has been a pretty big one considering just how good he was a few years back. Was my favourite rider at Ipswich where he turned from a promising young second string to a genuine number 1 by the time he left us.
  10. To be fair we’re the mighty Witches so we deserve two threads. Lynn should count themselves lucky to get one
  11. They did say there was a specific rider they did target to guest but he wasn’t available, think Badge may have possibly been right who knows.
  12. PK was the dogs doo daas and the best of the lot. Never would have gotten him away from Wolves either though unfortunately.
  13. Not sure. I’ve always found Lawson hit and miss around Foxhall. He openly admits he’s not keen on the track. He had one cracking meeting the season before we signed him where he got 17 I think. That was the exception rather than the rule though and he’s looked patchy here ever since. Aries is right, he was pretty poor earlier this season in the cup, scoring 5 and not threatening to win a race. I think they’re stronger with R/R especially with Fricke now on his game. Both Harris and Sedgmen rode for us and were pretty cr@p but rather annoyingly, have been a pain in the rear end on their visits since! Morris is decent around here too, probably one of his better away tracks.
  14. R/R for Lawson. Fricke, Harris, Morris and Sedgmen taking an extra ride certainly doesn’t weaken them around Foxhall.
  15. That’s ok we’ll post on yours, it’s got pictures and stuff and looks better
  16. I thought you’d have learned your lesson after laughing off the Emil “rumours” all winter! Obviously not.
  17. Poor fella it must be a scary feeling having pressure in your head like that with the Doctors seemingly having no idea what’s causing it or how to treat it! Fingers crossed he’s feeling better soon.
  18. https://ipswichwitches.co/raceday-preview-leicester-sports-insure-premiership-r1-h/ Gonna be a good meeting this one. Fricke has now ridden himself in to good form and Leicester look a very solid outfit. I thought that a few weeks back in the Cup that we narrowly won. Every pairing that came out seemed capable of at least sharing the heats so I think they’ll run us close here. Should be some good battles between Doyle Emil and Fricke. For the first time this season also, no threat of rain!
  19. Believe he was originally earmarked for Peterborough but Buster must have decided to put Lynn first..
  20. Well they might have to if they want to win something it’s as simple as that. They’ve been unlucky in the sense that Thomas would have been one of the better rising stars and it was a big blow to lose him, but the choice after that was a strange one. I get that they were reluctant to use a couple of obvious choices and wanted to move away from those and go down a different path, but doing that could end up costing us. Three or four points here and there instead of zero’s and one’s makes a difference. We know we’re one of the weaker side down at reserve because of the way they chose to build this year, but picking one of if not THE weakest rising stars has compounded the issue.
  21. We did indeed but as someone rightly pointed out earlier, one of those was down to Riss racking up a cricket score at reserve. We do still have riders that go well here though, Doyle obviously, king can win races here and Barker can also be a nuisance at times.
