  1. Howarth a decent guest for Riss by the way, paid 10 there last week for Sheffield so we can’t have any complaints there. King also goes well there and Doyle and Emil will do Doyle and Emil stuff so you’re not looking at asking too much from Hume to win the meeting.
  2. Goes to show how much of a miss Jack Thomas has been to us. Think he’d have close if not top of that list.
  3. Howarth in for Erik Riss Badge, R/R for Rew so Howarth and three for Hume (will be a busy boy) can take his rides. Hawkins again saying no change with Riss and it’s still a waiting game, surely they’ve GOT to make that change now? When you’re then missing another rider like Rew on Thursday, it throws up all sorts of problems. Be decisive and make the change! Again they’ve held off the preview as long as they can as they’ve heard nothing from Lynn so although Klindt is listed, he’s likely missing same as Rew and no news on a guest for Pickering
  4. He’s capable of that at Foxhall though so it’s not uncommon. Beat two of Sheffield’ top 5 last week and beat Bewely the week before.
  5. To be fair the big clubs usually get the decisions same as the footie
  6. Makes the decision to sign for Peterborough all the more bizarre. Was never going to be committed on our tracks was he really? Don’t think his first bend spill had much to do with it at all.
  7. I personally hope so, but for it to be him I think it would have to be a contract til the end of the season. Really don’t think he’d be interested in setting up here just for a month.
  8. Yeah I did see that RJ. But surely there has to be an option out there to get someone in as a 28 day replacement that would pay higher dividends than the three points R/R has been achieving? I get that they really like Riss and they’re giving him every opportunity, but as we can’t have a guest for him, a short term 28 day replacement helps us in the short term whilst also keeping Riss’ place for him when he’s fit and ready to return. Perhaps the options aren’t great.
  9. It’s a tough listen isn’t it. He seems to be getting worse unfortunately.
  10. Well I think you’re way off with that. We await confirmation of Cook at reserve but if it is him, he’ll be good for double figures down there. Nobody gets beat by 20 with a reserve scoring double figures. As Buttons rightly says, a dry slick afternoon track will suit trappers down to a T, and nobody fits that description better than Klindt and KK! Gating seems to be a bit of a weakness of Emil’s, it’s inconsistent at best. Once he gets going he’s clearly faster than everyone else, but has struggled at times to get past people at Foxhall and has had more success doing that away so far.
  11. Foxhall will be packed Monday for your so called “dead rubber”. Get back to the “future of British Speedway” thread and continue spreading your doom and gloom on there Screamer.
  12. Whilst we continue to run R/R for Riss then absolutely. We didn’t get away with against Belle Vue, but just about got away with it against Sheffield due to Jack Holder having his usual Foxhall stinker. It’ll be close again Monday.
  13. Probably is, but as the official Twitter account explains to someone, they couldn’t wait any longer to hear from Lynn..
  14. https://ipswichwitches.co/raceday-preview-kings-lynn-premiership-r1-h/ Kerr listed to ride at reserve for Lynn. The Ipswich promotion continue to push their luck with R/R for Riss with no timescale on his return. Just try and win the meeting again will be the order of the day, forget about big leads and aggregate bonus points. Name of the game for us at the moment is to just try and scramble over the line to win meetings.

  16. Well it won’t be a thumping with Kerr at reserve. Paid 13 for Sheffield last week and you’d expect him to fill his boots again Monday. Jakobsen goes very well also and I wouldn’t bet against KK trapping and winning a few heats either if he’s got his gating gloves on. All our meetings have been tight and I’d expect the same here especially if we continue to play the waiting game for Riss and used R/R.
  17. Batch’ form dipped right at the tail end of last season which is why he’s now on a 5 and a half point average because of the way the averages are now calculated. But if you look at the stats on the BSP website over the whole season including bonus points he comfortably averaged more than Riss. Similar to Cook, he’ll never be everybody’s cup of tea and if you’re expecting him to fight like a Tiger when he misses the gate then you’ll end up disappointed. But his gating is generally pretty good and I agree with Baldyman, when he’s in front his track craft and intelligence is superb in keeping faster riders behind him most of the time. He teamed up with Doyle in a few last heat 5-1’s that helped us pinch a few at the death last year as well. Never seen an attitude problem with him either. I appreciate others seem to have at various clubs in the past, but he’s had two stints as a Witch now and been good as gold both times.
  18. Also a good choice. Enjoys Foxhall far more than Pickering who always looks very uncomfortable there.
  19. He was absolutely fine last season and didn’t cause any issues whatsoever.
  20. Paid 13 for Sheffield at Foxhall last week from reserve so an excellent choice.
