  1. Louis did say pre-season he’d try and fit in the 16 lapper this year. Hope so. I don’t normally like individual meetings but that is one event I’ve loved since I was a kid and still do.
  2. A minor miracle. It will take Ipswich being nigh on unbeatable home and away from now on, whilst relying on one of the top four collapsing like a pack of cards. I’d rather they now had an eye on next year and tried out a couple of fresh faces from abroad. That would at least keep interest going for the remainder of the season.
  3. He said this on radio Suffolk over a month ago too. We’ve had issues since the season started and to be fair, it’s been unlike Louis not to act. He’s normally been quick to act when it’s been needed in the past. Any change now is too late unfortunately.
  4. The side that was built would be in the play offs if all went to plan. The problem has clearly been not being proactive enough to correct two glaring problems, Riss and the rising star. Riss is a 6+ pointer let’s not forget, and can be a match winner on his day. Nobody could foresee the issues he has had this year. Again the problem has been not replacing him quick enough and it’s cost us as well as not going for better available options when Thomas was injured before the season even started.
  5. I know Woofy isn’t the force he was, but isn’t he on good looking 7.something average?
  6. Doesn’t fit. As much as changes need to be made, very few options seem available. Batch for Riss looks to be the only worthwhile change.
  7. If he’s interested then you have to sign him. Would hate to see him riding for someone else here. Think it’s a long shot though as he might be a bit busier next year.
  8. I’d rather pinch some of Baldy’s pins than watch that dross. Could never understand people finding a sport like this entertaining. Most of the players standing around with their arms folded while the bowler takes what seems like an hour to bowl the bloody ball before the batsman gently blocks it, play stops, the ball makes it way back to the bowler (eventually) who then takes another hour to bowl it again. Rinse and repeat ad nauseam. Great “theatre” that. Do they still stop for “tea” as well? They need it to be fair with all that exerted energy.. Cricket is obviously a popular sport so I’m clearly missing something, I just don’t know what it is! Not knocking you or anyone else who loves it, each to their own of course. A good friend of mine loves watching Golf and will be glued from start to finish when the tournaments are on. I can understand enjoying playing it, but as a spectator sport? Never understood that either. Just not enough fast paced action for me.
  9. They did a few weeks back there, 32 between them in fact and we still lost by 12. Those three as we all know aren’t the problem, it’s the four below them Edit: Actually that’s harsh on Hume who hasn’t been a problem at all, he’s done his job down there. It’s the other three where the problems have been. Rew was a gamble that up to now hasn’t paid off, and the Rising Star position and Riss have been massive problems. Both those positions could have been rectified but for whatever reason, neither have been. They’ve decided to wait half the season for Riss, and poor choices have been made in securing replacements for Jack Thomas. Any change made now will be too late cos we’re not winning here either.
  10. https://ipswichwitches.co/raceday-preview-wolverhampton-sports-insure-premiership-r2-h/ Nicholls in for Luke Becker. Makes things very tricky for the Witches.
  11. Does it really matter? Who cares. You could say Emil is only here cos he’s not in the GP’s.
  12. I miss Ermolenko in his office. At least we could rip the pi$$ out of him and have a laugh.
  13. Pretty sure Doyle would have been there if it wasn’t for his rearranged Polish fixture. He done most if not all the Pairs meetings he could last year. Low pay or not he’d have done it. But that’s Doyle for you.
  14. King and Riss for us in the Pairs. Wasn’t one bit bothered about the Pairs last year and not one bit bothered this time either. Not an event I’m the slightest bit interested in.
  15. I think we will. Peterborough have some riders that can get out of the gate well at Foxhall so I think we’ll see some decent action. Let’s hope so anyway.
  16. At this stage just hoping for a good meeting. Seen some superb racing at times at Foxhall this year.
  17. It’s still bad luck because they chose Jack Thomas and lost him before a wheel was turned. That doesn’t change, it remains unlucky. I agree on the subsequent choices to replace him though, awful.
  18. I don’t like piling in when plenty of others are already at it but I’m finding Tatum almost impossible to listen to. He obviously doesn’t do it on purpose and he seems a decent fella, but the ums and ers grate badly. He’s always done it but never as bad as this when he was the co-commentator rather than the main man.
