After 16 heats - Khomitsevich 12 pts, Ivanov 11, Makarov 10, Kononov 9. Then 4 on 7 pts Valeev & Koltakov plus Khuzhin & Kolenkin. I think top 5 qualify for FIM ICE series or is it 4 plus Ivanov? Would love to see Makarov & Kononov in Inzell & Heerenveen!!!

Was looking at doing the Daugavpils Semi-Final but a load of vaccinations have come up for travelling to Latvia. Thinking of Riga then onto Daugavpils by train. Anyone done Latvia & has any observations/comments to make re-vacs + travel.

"Russia has been handed a four-year ban from all major sporting events by the World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada)" If the Russians are banned from the FIM Gladiators series it`ll make for a very open Individual & SoN series. If that is the case then I suggest Sweden for the Team Event & any of the Swedes over a shortened 3 event series as 2 events are in Russia.

Yes, ticket prices for T4 up by 10% on last year. Done all the sights so just going out Saturday morning back Sunday night. At least it`ll save on the Hotel Bills. Noticed that RyanAir have put up their pre-booking charge on seats from a cheapest of £4 to £7. Suppose `old matey` has to get someone pay for his horses!!!

I see that at present Robert Lambert doesn`t appear in Motor Lublin`s line-up according to e-speedway.pl website. In my opinion, Leszno still appear to be the team to beat in 2020 even at this early stage. Then Czestochowa & possibly Motor Lublin with Miskowiak & Lampart at reserve respectively. Looking forward to seeing Leszno v Swindon over 2 legs in March 2020 should it come up.

What a joke!!! In 2019 you could qualify for the Final with 18pts plus 3 pts for the win (ie Madsen in Torun) & someone could finish 2nd in the final having scrapped into the S/f with 7 pts then a 2nd in s/f & 2nd in the final giving them 11 pts. Yet in 2020 first gets 20 pts 2nd gets 18 pts. What a joke!!! And 5 wildcards. All about money!!! Thats probably why my Cz GP ticket for Prague was 10% more & now nearly £49!!! They couldn`t get 4 wildcards right this year with Lindback selected (LOL). They should be concentrating on getting the SGP venues sorted rather than wasting time messing about with the pts!!! Still only 6 venues announced. What a bunch of ....... we have at the head of this sport I love!!!!

I thought that all Polish League clubs had to be granted licenses by PZM at the start of each season before they could compete? If KK is owed such a large amount of money then wouldn`t that go against them for next season? `A la` Czestochowa a few years ago when Sayfutdinov & Laguta were allegedly owed a truck load of zlotys.

Bydgoszcz International Championship (day after Toruń GP)
steve69 replied to Mama's topic in International World of Speedway
Excellent meeting at Bydgoszcz. Plenty of passing. Lovely sunny day & healthy crowd for a Polish Individual meeting. Lidsey 14, Berge 13 bt Lyager in a run-off. Douglas impressed with 10. Thought Kurtz 9 (7th) would have done better. Kyle Howarth 4. -
Lindback back in is a joke!!!! Michelsen 45 SEC pts Lindback 22 & equal 11th in SEC!!!! Michelsen better season in Polish Ekstraliga or Grigory Laguta NOT Lindback. Can anyone give me a GOOD REASON why Antonio is back in. Certainly not one of the top 15 in the World on this season`s overall results. Oh but there are likely to be 2 GPs in Sweden next season!!! Who is on the selection committee to make such a choice? But as we ll know these selections are all down to pounds-shillings & pence!!! Never the best 15. Lindback selection certainly weakens next years series.

Hoping for a good night at the Slaski Stadium on saturday. Good weather forecast. Just hope there isn`t any flight disruption? Would like to see Bartosz Smektala or Grigory Laguta win . And then Laguta getting a SGP wildcard pick. He would be a breath of fresh air & certainly put himself about a bit!!! Okay, he can sometimes be a very naughty boy. Laguta 36 pts Michelsen 30 (still in with a shout. Rode well their last year), Smektala & Woryna 29. Great Stadium. Hopefullly racing better than last year but they did have a lot of rain. Track was covered last year which saved the meeting. Any groups of brits going? If so they have a deal on tickets get 4 for price of 3. Shame I can`t get to any play-off meets on public transport on sunday so off to Oswiecim for the day.

Anyone in Wroclaw going to Ostrow meeting tomorrow? Have 1 x Adult 1 x Reduced ticket. Was going but train very early there & very late back. And legs hurting from yesterday`s meeting. I probably ache more than some of the Krakow riders (73-14) Yes they couldn`t even get to 15 pts!!!! Or if anyone is driving with 2 x spare seats will happily pay the petrol.

Had a great weekend. Leszno v Lublin friday, Torun SEC saturday & ZG v Bartosz Zmarzlik on sunday. A lot of time on the bus/trains but worth it just for the atmosphere at ZG from their turn1 - 2 fans. Lovely to meet up with all the British Fans travelling independently especially Jimmy. Hope to see some of you at Wroclaw GP. Another Polish Speedway feast this weekend to come at reasonable `do-it-yourself prices. Weather permitting of course.

I was at the Coliseum on friday & it was my first visit. And I WILL BE ATTENDING again. I would like to be positive about the venue & the meeting. It is a purpose built arena for speedway. There are many stands which allow for an elevated view. There is no greyhound track so as well as being elevated you are closer to the action. To me the closer you are the better! And with no greyhound track there are no outsiders taking revenue out of the venue. All monies spent go to the promotion which can allow them to put it back into speedway. Access to the riders before the meeting is excellent there is plenty of time for getting autographs & photos. And up close to watch them working on their bikes or for having photos of them with fans in their leathers. These are the things I remembered when I was a child. I rarely remembered meetings it was getting autographs & having a pic with my favourite rider. There were many young faces at this meeting more than I`m used to at my home circuit. Also the club had invited the Exeter Aces cycle speedway team to attend to promote their club & sport. The 2 crashes did cause delays but what a lovely evening waiting in the sunshine. Also, by curfew time we only lost the final heat of the second half. I paid £12 admission plus £2-50 for 20 heats which I feel was good value. A 46-44 first half & 16-14 second half. I had arrived at 3pm & walked the stadium & at that time the track staff were driving the tractor around in very hot temperatures & working on the track. I thought that Ben Wilson (14 pts) Adam Extance (13+2) Rob Ledwith (9) had no problems & Anders Rowe looked very good & rode with aggression attacking the track. Drew Kemp also rode well but I thought he got to the corner with Richard Andrews in his heat & it looked from my angle that he was pushed out wider than he wanted to be which made him turn harder than he wanted to do which caused his highside. Glad to see he was okay. The venue is helping younger riders to gain valuable track time. Good luck to young Ben Trigger for his forthcoming European excursion to Torun, Poland on 20th July. Finally, all the very best wishes to Nathan Stoneman on a full recovery.

world u21 team final Belle Vue 12th July
steve69 replied to davidba's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Thanks Mikebv Ticket purchased. Go Team GB. I believe it`ll be Poland-Denmark+France? Please correct me if I`m wrong. -
I will be doing practice + qualifying it`s a first so I want to say `I was there!!!`.Only the cost of a £4 programme. Not exactly going to break the bank. I always find it interesting to see the different lines the riders take. Just sitting in that stadium is worth the money. So seeing 5.30 practice then 7pm qualifying it`s a must for me. Shame that it`ll be missing Tai & a bunch more following the insertion of Stal Gorzow v Wroclaw match on friday evening. Boy is Tai going to have a busy weekend with Wroclaw v Torun on sunday as well.

As well as the wet stuff we will also have to put up with a joker at referee Poland`s Mr K
