  1. What a strange response to a post that actually says, "You are correct that Brandon will need a lot of money to make it usable, but money won't be an issue with the individuals they have got on board."
  2. Very sad news. He was very helpful and friendly when I was looking for photos for my books.
  3. Also, that no-one on here has ever criticised a decision made by a male ref.
  4. So, are you saying that London is so dangerous no-one goes to big events there any more? Maybe the FA Cup Final should be moved to Newcastle. Maybe Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea and West Ham should relocate? Cancel the Test matches at Lords and The Oval?
  5. Not a chance. If that system was any good, they would have done it for 50 years.....
  6. Bartosz is quite often not first out the gate; many riders outgate him. But, just in case you hadn't noticed, he has a knack of coming from behind!
  7. Nice to see Kelvin has his usual grasp of the maths of the situation.
  8. As someone who saw Sverre Harrfeldt every week, I can assure you that certainly isn't true!
  9. Interesting post on Facebook today, given many of the comments above!
  10. I think the problem for Sheffield is that they are not firing themselves to the front.
  11. While I was actually looking at the Met Office forecast for tomorrow, it actually changed from "Heavy Rain" to "Light Rain" for most of the day. As you say, the forecast is continually changing.
  12. Three for me. Your two plus Josef Hofmeister.
  13. Why can't you believe me? Tell me what in my post was factually wrong?
  14. Sverre came to West Ham in 1965. The swap was with Reg Luckhurst. Olle came to West Ham in 1969 following Sverre's departure.
  15. Ove Fundin received the freedom of Norwich.
  16. Which speedway riders have been decorated? I can think of Ronnie Moore, Barry Briggs, Ivan Mauger, Peter Collins and Kelvin Tatum off hand. All MBEs I believe. Any others?
  17. I believe he rode under the name of Squire in his early days during the Second World War when he rode those foreign tracks while in the army. Can I count it now, please?
  18. Thank you, Bavarian, that's good to hear. Sadly, he is one of only four of the top 25 I never saw ride.
