good point I was one of the members collecting outside stadium a lot of people only had £20 notes on them although to be fair a few doubled back and put change in buckets. Something to think about for any future collections.

Not a lot of options with so many meetings on today. Only Sheffield,Ipswich,Edinburgh without meetings today so getting a guest for Claus could be difficult.

Like a few bandits fans I thought 4 points was not enough but they have got stuck in had that little bit of luck you need at times and we are still in the cup. Hope hynek is ok.

Damage was done in the home leg with only a 4point lead to defend. Also having 2 guests at reserve doesn't help but if our top 4 can get amongst the points they are capable of scoring and hynek can pick up a few this could end up a tight meeting.

Enjoyable meeting last night with track conditions producing better racing.Good to see Alex riding with a bit more confidence also Richard Hall looking sharper. Top 4 done what we expect of them whilst Hynek can't be faulted for lack of effort.Disappointing crowd for a local derby didn't appear to be a lot of diamonds fans in attendance hopefully crowds will pick up when the warmer weather comes.

Think at Newcastle riders carry there helmets with them for parade then jump onto there bikes for a couple of practice laps

Anything to make a better atmosphere is worth considering doesn't help when they can't play background music until 6-45pm

Since returning to watch speedway again in 2010 Saturdays crowd especially against Workington was one of the worst i have seen. Where do all the former fans go on a Saturday night, Berwick is a small town with about 18 pubs and 2 nightclubs although a lot of our current support comes from outside the town. Its not as if we face competition on a Saturday night from other attractions such as Ice Hockey, Basketball, Ten pin bowling or a big cinema complex or an arena that hosts concerts with popular bands etc. Being situated where we are on the map apart from the usual suspects Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle we are not getting hordes of away fans turning up to meetings anymore. As for the track as long as there is football there, the shape will never change and no people dont want to watch gate and go every week but as was proved in the under 21 meeting, when the track is prepared to the standard it was that night it can provide good racing. Hopefully when the better weather comes we might get a few more bodies through the turnstiles.Lets hope this Saturday we can get back to winning ways and put together a nice little cup run.

In the black n gold on Saturday past the bbsc presented all the riders with a cheque to help them out. Also financial help was given to Kevin, ,Alex, and Claus towards some hefty repair bills. I'm sure once Richard has settled in he will also get a presentation off the bbsc. As you should know both the bbsc and 2012 Group are there to help and back the riders.
