Not sure why Glasgow fans get so defensive about the wages situation. Circumstantial evidence relating to the number of south of England based riders, especially promising up and coming ones, who have ridden for Tigers over the last few years would certainly suggest that it’s not only because they have a super duper track and stadium (as Messrs Brown and Lanning remind us every week in Speedway Star).
Tigers are entitled to sign whoever they want within the rules, or even exploiting them to the limit, at whatever budget they think fit. No point in denying it.
The upgrade to Ashfield is evidence that the owners are willing to allocate a large budget to the speedway side of their business.
