Hard Riders Of The Past Any Thoughts?
The White Knight replied to Sidney the robin's topic in Years Gone By
I have read that too. It is a load of absolute bollux - Jack was never afraid of anyone - certainly not bloody Frank Aufrett. Frank attended one of our Sunderland Reunions - he didn't have a good thing to say about Jack then, even though Jack died in tragic circumstances - and obviously still carries a grudge. Very sad really. -
That's good to hear. Cheers norbold.

I was thinking of Doug too. His Brother Willie Templeton was a pretty tough operator also. -
Ove Fundin must have a few years under his belt I would think. 'Varg' Olle Nygren too I reckon.

Peter Collins is another of my Speedway Heroes - and even I agree with your Post Ht. Peter Craven is another one, by the way, which is why I didn't just put PC. -

More than this year I would bet. I wonder how many Teams will be robbed from the Championship to prop up the so called Premier League? -

Well said one of clubs. -
I doubt there would be enough footage to do even that much.

I wish they could do a 'Memories of Sunderland Speedway' DVD. Sadly there isn't enough material as far as I am aware.

One League - Build A Team

Far more entertaining than today though. -
If you read my Posts on this subject properly, you will see that I have never whinged about not having entered the Competition, I also stated that I would not want to go in for it anyway. I was complaining purely at the lack of advertising given to it. I was questioning the PR System at the BSPA - that is all. So it seems my intelligence remark was correct after all. Tell you what - why don't you go and bake a cake?

I don't hate Lindgren Dandelion. Hate is a very strong word, and I don't even know him. I just think, and have done for a while, that a change would be good fo both the 'Diamonds' and Lindgren himself. That is only my opinion though - I may even be the only person to have that opinion - but it is what I believe.

I read the Speedway Press, I follow the Sport on Television, I talk to Speedway people. I read Speedway Magazines and I am a regular on this Forum - I still knew nothing about the Competition. What does that say about Speedway's PR? I assumed Forum Members would have the intelligence to grasp where I was coming from - in your case I was very obviously wrong.

As bloody usual. -
Firstly - well done to the Winners. (I mean that sincerely Mr. Ore). Secondly - I wouldn't have entered as I don't attend. Thirdly - As someone with a great interest in Speedway you would have thought that the Competition would have been widely advertised in order to make as much money as possible - and yet, interested in Speedway as I am - I knew absolutely nothing about it. Does that not say something about Speedway's PR - I think it speaks volumes.
