  1. "Beware the Ides of March". (W. Shakespeare - Julius Caesar).
  2. Haha - it's easy to make a mistake isn't it.
  3. I would say that Jan would know. I am happy to accept that.
  4. Well - it would be interesting to know..................................................
  5. Very FAIR assessment of the Premier League Spin King. Spot on I reckon. Well Done for an EXCELLENT Post.
  6. Sadly it can - and - it will unless something is done by the Promoters to pull in more Punters - and by that I DON'T mean introducing even more stupid Rules than they have at present. In fact - getting rid of the more stupid Rules might actually help.....................................
  7. Interesting to see Barry Wallace in the Announcer's Box at Brough Park. :approve:
  8. I just hope you are wrong. Anything to encourage British Speedway Riders is to be applauded. I suppose we must wait and see.
  9. I bet you got your e-mail reply faster than if you were waiting on the 'phone to speak to someone.
  10. Ah - but it's still a much better Film than 'Eating Dust' - isn't it.
  11. Obviously you have an axe to grind.
  12. As there seems to be TWO Threads running regarding Freddie - could the Mods not merge them?
  13. My first Pay Packet was £3-12-11d. At the legendary VAUX Breweries. When I left I trebled my money at a Crane Building Factory in Sunderland.
  14. I am truly staggered by this News. Freddie Williams, to me, was a 'one off'. He always made time to speak to you. I don't think that I could say that I was a friend of his but having spoken to him on lots of occasions he made me feel like one. He had an easy way with people and was very a courteous and warm person, a true Gentleman. That he loved Speedway was obvious whenever he talked about it. He will be sadly missed. Thanks for the memories Freddie and may you Rest In Peace. +
  15. I believe you are right Matt. However, perhaps this is where Sports Grounds could come in to their own. Where big enough, perhaps it would be possible to install a Track. Not 100% sure of Electric Bikes though - I too like the NOISE and the SMELL.
  16. The most telling sentence in the whole Thread. It will get worse next Season as the further 80% of Government 'Cuts' that are still to hit us take effect.
  17. Congratulations on your excellent Post snafu. To me this represents what supporting Speedway is all about.
