Leicester Vs Rye House 11/8
Lord Skid replied to lionking's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Only way to cure the problem is to shorten the straights, not sure if it's feasible to do the pit bend one winter, then the other bend the following winter to spread the cost, the shape of the bends are great, if the straights are shorter. -
Leicester Vs Rye House 11/8
Lord Skid replied to lionking's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
What a shame to see such a good setup ruined by the track, the riders hate it, the crowd hates it, just alter it before it's too late, to almost overtake is about as good as it gets, can't believe the crowd was as good as it was, as the entertainment was terrible. -
Oh Dear, Lee Guilty Of Drug Possession
Lord Skid replied to martin_t's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Drugs in sport should always attract the stiffest penalties possible, as for being an Official as well, it's unbelievable, especially associated with a Club dealing with up and coming young riders. Don't think there's an anti Michael Lee campaign at all, he's one of the nicest most liked people you could meet, it's actually an anti drugs in sport thing. -
Why not check out the air barriers used in Moto GP, far superior in design and effectiveness, higher speeds, heavier bikes, don't move or explode or allow you to slide into Armco.http://www.airfence.com/news_silverstone.html

Ok, i'll come to Oz to race, which League can I ride in, and how many Meetings can I ride in, at £50 a point and get paid travel? Appears that there's an awful lot of Aussie's making a living in UK speedway, if you're good enough, the chance is there.

Why do you need a No.1? Rye House are doing nicely without one, three big wins last week, horses for courses can be just as effective.

Rye House V Edinburgh 13/7/13
Lord Skid replied to cityrebel's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Good to see a ref actually applying the rules, apparently he had silencers and carbs checked before the Meeting, as well as making sure the starts were legal as well, seems like he's only got fuel, engine size and drugs to check and he's got a full house. -
Ipswich V Rye House (premier League) 20th June
Lord Skid replied to Shadders's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Speaking to the Rye number 2 last night, it was pretty obvious he appeared far more suited to the Ipswich track than Rye, and seemed more than able to pass on another perfectly prepared track. -
Any chance of a Guest for the trackman?

Rye V Plymouth Sat 9th June
Lord Skid replied to Dave Stummings's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Hopefully the track will be in a fit state to race on this time around, can't blame any rider for not wanting to race hard on that surface. -
Little bit drastic, but the third week in May should bring better conditions.

Weather forecast looks pretty bad for the next 72 hours, looking brighter towards the end of May.

Rye House V Ipswich 1/4/13 2pm
Lord Skid replied to cityrebel's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
First part was correct, his condition did go downhill, second part is incorrect, the drugs were out of date and couldn't be administered, quite a few issues with the rider care, and some questions will be asked for sure. -
Air Jackets-how Do They Work?

New Zealand Gp.
Lord Skid replied to STARRGAZER1's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Seems like the track was perfect, then IMG took over and cocked it up, sounds more like the truth. -

The damaged spokes in the front wheel were a pretty good indication. -

Darcy Showing What A Pro He Is Again
Lord Skid replied to speedibee's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
As is normal in these cases, the riders riding with him will be the judge and jury, they won't risk their necks with a drug head. -

They've got enough problems putting together a Rugby team at present without trying to find a speedway rider.

Nice that he's willing to risk his own money, the norm in the UK is to loose other peoples money, and take the glory. Buckley could buy the whole of UK speedway out of petty cash, including the SStar, large amounts of the old green eyed monster around it seems, probably because he runs his own ship and can't be dictated too. If you don't like the way he runs it, simple, don't watch it. -
Matt Ford To Be Commended
Lord Skid replied to 21st century heathen's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
The guys who are out on track with him will definately think it's a serious matter. -
So your saying it's ok to have a Pole or Aussie as wildcard at cardiff?
