Rye House V Ipswich Sat 31st May
Lord Skid replied to DragonsDen's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Seen loads of upgraded/ pretty stadiums, with only a couple of hundred supporters, Oxford, Newport, IOW, Exeter all had pretty stadiums, but didn't bring in the fans. -

Ippo and Peterborough fish and chips may be great, but unfortunately the Speedway sees none of the profit, but uncle len sees it all, who's the clever one. -

Rye House V Plymouth 25th May
Lord Skid replied to Dave Stummings's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Luke Bowen's certainly helped him when he crashed last week at Rye, horrible crash, but he walked away from it, could easily have been ribs or collarbone injuries. -
And unlike a number of other teams in the league, uncle len is paying his riders, and the Cheques aren't bouncing around like a beech ball.

Danes only have to pay for Big Macs in the UK, everything else gets given to them.

Wow, technology has finally caught up with Somerset, the rest of the UK has had them for years, along with electricity and telephones.

'Sparse Crowd' sounds like the EoES bug has struck, one beating by the Rockets and the support deserts the ship. -

Put it like this, he wouldn't be driving for Red Bull or Mercedes F1 looking like that. -

Sadly SCB, it confirms my point, maybe the sport should get Eddie The Eagle to look after the PR, worst performer we've ever had, but the most exposure, and still to this day, everyone knows who he is. -

Walk down any uk high street and ask who Tai is, and they won't have a clue, let's face it, in the Uk unless you read SS, nobody knows the sport exists, take away the diehards, and the lights have been turned off. -

All to do with the lead up to the GP, he has TV and Press commitments promoting the GP, and work for the NZ sponsors, Sport in the southern hemisphere attracts far more media attention than in the UK. -
Bunyan is always fast around the showground, strange it got re-arranged so he misses the meeting, but would have been available for the original date.
 -
Sounds like he's got enough equipment to kit out a whole Team.

SGP 2013 rankings put him as the third best British born rider behind Woffindon and Harris. -
Or if they were riding in Scotland they'd want some 'Pay Pal'

You forgot to point out that MNZ, FIM and BSI all have to approve any nomination. Nice to point out the articulate and media savvy bit, something that is all too important in modern corporate based sport. -
Riders are accountable for what they post on social media sites, the BSPA and SCB make all riders fully aware of this, and that it is taken very seriously, hence very few instances coming to light recently.

Three Cricket journalists covering the Ashes have been chucked out of Australia due to Visa problems including the Sun's main man.
