Sadly SCB, it confirms my point, maybe the sport should get Eddie The Eagle to look after the PR, worst performer we've ever had, but the most exposure, and still to this day, everyone knows who he is.
Walk down any uk high street and ask who Tai is, and they won't have a clue, let's face it, in the Uk unless you read SS, nobody knows the sport exists, take away the diehards, and the lights have been turned off.
All to do with the lead up to the GP, he has TV and Press commitments promoting the GP, and work for the NZ sponsors, Sport in the southern hemisphere attracts far more media attention than in the UK.
You forgot to point out that MNZ, FIM and BSI all have to approve any nomination. Nice to point out the articulate and media savvy bit, something that is all too important in modern corporate based sport.
Riders are accountable for what they post on social media sites, the BSPA and SCB make all riders fully aware of this, and that it is taken very seriously, hence very few instances coming to light recently.
Would be nice to know what the 100k was used for, if the complex without Speedway is profitable, can't believe that was used to keep Speedway afloat, perhaps it was to pay the Chairman, nice little earner Rodney, as Del Boy would say.
The majority of Track guys have had their budgets cut to virtually nothing, one hasn't had any new shale for over two years, and still manages to produce one of the best tracks in the PL.
Perhaps they should all attend a track prep school at Ipswich, can't believe it's that easy to prepare a consistently great race surface, only trouble is, you're going to have problems on the normal crap tracks away from home.
Could well have been in his long term plan, we will never know, but the Chairman certainly seems to be holding all the ace cards, which have been built up over recent years.
