  1. My pal and I are coming down from Newcastle for this and staying at The Innkeepers Lodge, Heaton Chapel, Stockport. I think there is a bus that will take us close to the stadium, any information about number and where to get off would be appreciated.
  2. Thanks for the latest photo. Rob. There looks like a lot of work still to do in the next 12 days. i hope the grand opening doesn't turn into a farce. I have a ticket, and It's a long way from Newcastle .
  3. It would pay for itself in the first season with the cost of broken tapes.
  4. Sly Fox, I think you will find that Redcar are looking elsewhere for a No.1. The dispute over Kus is down to the valuation. It appears that they are once again asking over the odds for a rider and will not allow him to ride elsewhere on loan, although they have a number of loanees in their side. They have previous form over this attitude, you only have to look at the saga last season with Summers.
  5. Just seen on the Redcar site, someone has said their main sponsor has pulled out, if so, I wonder how that will affect our chances of signing Kus.
  6. The price was set before Christmas. More expensive to buy than a GM but cheaper overall for a season if you take servicing into account.
  7. Would anyone like to guess how many riders have purchased Gerhard engines to use in the 2016 season? Simple question, As a Newcastle Diamonds supporter, it will be interesting to see if Robert Lambert uses them in the PL.
  8. Best wishes to Dave and all the other Diamonds fans, looking forward to seeing you on the terraces in March. By the way, a 'Dusey' referred to the Dusenberg car, America's Rolls Royce of it's day.
  9. As another paying customer/fan, I add my endorsement to everything that 'Aceslider' said. The financial juggling that must constantly take place just to keep the gates open must be a strain on everyone concerned. I took note of George's comment about the relatively small increase in support required to achieve break even point and I feel that we, as supporters owe it to the promotion to help as much as we can in that respect. Onward and upward for 2016!
  10. How about this side, in riding order :- 1, Steve W. 2, Ludvig. 3, Lewis K. 4 Tero. 5, Richie W. 6, Simon N. 7, Lewis R. just about fits 42.5.
  11. Ian, is Boldon inside the Sunderland boundaries? If so, will I need my passport and inoculation certificate?
  12. How about Newcastle Stadium are asking too much rent, so we are moving to the cycle speedway track at Cramlington. Opening fixture to be previewed by races between Nikki P and Chris Hoy!
  13. Totally agree, great meeting helped by riders from both teams giving it a go. The scoreline of 60-32 would make it seem like a massacre but there were many close exciting races with lots of passing. Good crowd tonight as well, hopefully many of them will return and bring some friends.
  14. This is great news, however, we must remember, Lewis is still under the care and being monitored by Addenbrooks Hospital and he is just starting the long road to recovery. I hope people remember this and keep supporting the Kerr family emotionally and financially. #Come on Lewi.
  15. Anyone in a position to give weather and track condition updates?
  16. I too will miss this one, visiting family in Berkshire. Unfortunately, no Reading to go and get a fix. Hope it's a cracking meeting with the Diamonds coming out on top, and no injuries please.
  17. if you want to stretch the point, didn't Simon Nielsen win the equivalent of the u16 world title?
  18. As a club that boasts 3 world champions amongst its riders, but we still support at any level,I'm looking forward to seeing the current Witches at Newcastle on Sunday and will enjoy the racing along with Aceslider and others.
  19. Regarding Mr. Bjerre in heat 15, why was he allowed back into the pits to retrieve his bike? Didn't Josh Bates get excluded for leaving the track?
  20. Steve, was that a 'bilnd man' of a meeting?
