  1. WORK about to start on Tampere track for 2015 ... shorter straights, wider corners. Lessons learned they say ...
  2. GENERATORS supplying power to the TV trucks went down ...
  3. ALCOHOL tests at SGP events are held under the supervision of FIM officials but are usually conducted by the attending medical official or a policeman which I believe was the case in Daugavpils. The actual testing instrument will be supplied by those carrying out the procedure.
  4. SPOKE to him after another dismal performance in Vojens. Believe he has some personal issues that he has to resolve and which are obviously affecting him quite badly.
  5. TOTALLY different. There is absolutely NO evidence that any of these silencers were tampered with. It is a manufacturing fault. They even produced a brand new silencer at Vojens that had the fault. Jury President Wolfgang Glas said that he would send a report to the FIM immediately which would firmly lay the fault at the door of the manufacturer.
  6. THESE decisions are always made in the eye of the holder (no, not Chris) and rarely are absolutely black and white. Plenty agree with Nicki, plenty don't ... nothing wrong with that and good for sensible debate, which isn't always the case here.
  7. STUPID and unnecessary post but, as you requested it, thought the referee was spot on... WRONG on both counts...
  8. BJERRE had a dislocated shoulder which Nicki P's physio put back for him and he has a bettered and bruised hip. Full extent of his injuries weren't immediately apparent last night but no doubt he will contest the GP Challenge on Saturday but as Mr Tatum would say he will be "feeling very second hand."
  9. Sorry, that was misleading. Those riders around the monitors felt that NP was the cause of the accident and that TB had no say in the matter! MAYBE, but in matters like this I always feel riders are better judges than people like me who have never ridden a speedway bike let alone been in that situation.
  10. QUITE a few riders watching on the TV monitors in the Vojens pits wouldn't agree with you.
  11. ALL five Danish World Champions here tonight ... Ole Olsen, Erik Gundersen, Hans Nielsen, Jan O Pedersen and Nicki Pedersen
  12. MOST of the 6,000 is seats under cover... MAYBE not be you are ill-informed
  13. ONE of the reasons the FA put forward for pressurising Wembley Stadium (which, of course, they didn't own in those days) to ditch speedway was the alleged damage to their supposedly pristine soccer pitch
  14. JUST (16.20 local time) spoke to Pete Adams... says Tai is about 80 per cent. Any points today, with Greg missing, are a bonus.
  15. NO but then probably couldn't on a rain-soaked Vojens either
  16. AT the track, clear sky, nice and warm. Need to pinch myself!
  17. SPOKE to Gollob's manager in Gorzow and was told that he was now very unlikely to accept the wild card slot in Warsaw, which had been planned as a swan song for him. Had a massive two-year deal with Torun which some of his team-mates believe is the only reason he has carried on this year. Never say never but he certainly wouldn't contemplate the GP again. When I had my eye-to-eye interview with Emil I came away believing that not returning to the SGP yet is his decision but also that if his manager Susi pushed him he would change his mind. Sadly, don't see that happening in time for 2015.
  18. HAVE also posted some comments in the GP Challenge thread....
  19. CANNOT argue about the capacity ... as regards the track Horsens are having custom made covers (like those at Vojens) and apparently have good drainage. Obviously there are other commercial advantages for BSI with great support from the local Horsens community, etc.
