Gp Riders Engine Tuners
PHILIPRISING replied to lynnboy's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
SEEMS that many of this year's SGP riders have been changing tuners of late with seemingly Peter Johns going out of fashion after so much success with the likes of Hancock, Holder and Woffinden, all of whom won World titles using his engines. Woffinden is the latest to switch to Flemming Gravesen, as did Freddie Lindgren with the GMs he used on Saturday. Lindback is another on Gravesen stuff. No doubt Peter will come back into favour as soon as one of his riders starts winning again although currently there are not too many of them left in the biggest shop window of all, the SGP. -
WAS using PJs when he won the British Final and qualified for the GP Challenge. However, I believe that he then hit problems and had to borrow an engine for Cardiff. We know that Cookie is a fiery character but if he can channel that passion and desire in the right direction then it can be an asset. Hope he comes through this. He is a better rider than his SWC and Cardiff performances would suggest and at times puts too much pressure on himself.

ACTUALLY thought he did a good job. Didn't sit on the fence, was informative about engine tuners, but I do agree about the shirt. PROBABLY got a job lot... MUST say the draw has got a lot better since I stopped doing it. -
Greg Hancock Hurt?

DOESN'T mean he won't be World Champion next year. -
GOOD to hear. Too many people being judge and jury. Two sides to every story ... including Holder's!

YOU are hard to please tonight. Cannot remember the last time a rider made the semis with six. Mind you, with my memory... -

GIVE us a break from your hatred of all things Hancock. Personally thought he was excellent and along with Kelvin provided some terrific insight into riding. -

WAS talking about the SGPs... Sweden needs Lindback or Lindgren to start winning to help raise the profile there. -

SYMPTOMATIC of waning interest in Sweden and Denmark I fear but, ironically, Lindback could do the business tonight. -
HOPE you are proud of that comment and not in a position where you might actually need some help.

MORE nonsense ... He claims he raised 22 million Euros for charity event at the San Marino race circuit. On the day he says it took place there was a 24 Hour race and the circuit confirm they had no charity booking for that weekend and have never heard of him. He claims to be the biggest producer of Canti Prosecco – Canti is a brand name and is produced by exclusively by Fratelli Martini and have a message from them confirming this. we

ECHO that. Cannot say that I really know him but had two long chats before and after Cardiff. He is passionate about his speedway but possibly puts too much pressure on himself but let's remember his performances in the British Final and qualifying for the GP Challenge. As Whisperer states, time to support not crucify.

EXACTLY ... for example Franchitti isn't the supremo of the Ducati Moto GP team and the yacht he was pictured with actually belongs to ex-BHS boss Philip Green.

COOK rode his bike off the track and through the pit gate (not allowed, as at Poole and BV for example) and had an altercation with an official who tried to stop him.
