Agree 100% I keep saying it "Speedway G.B. lacks CREDIBILITY" without it we are just like Banger racing or Wrestling!
-
Cook, Vissing and Kennett banned.
Ghosty replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Cook has to receive harsher punishment than both Vissing & Kennet, both of which are already serving their bans. Therefore I can't see what cook can achieve with the appeal only extra cost & a longer ban! -

Could an appeal lead to higher penalty for the offender? that's even when one of your bosses is possibly speedway's richest club & your other clubs boss is the BSPA chairman - answers please on a postcard!!!!!!!!!! -
Somerset v Edinburgh

" track preparation hasn't been good enough" or should that read not to the Roo Boys liking? Remember there's normally a convenient drying wind @ the OTA to benefit track preparation, so should be on & should be good racing. -
I think Paul missing will be massive for Glasgow, the Rebels new look team will have to settle in this would have been the perfect opportunity for the tigers to pounce but with no real cover for Starke it looks like Rebs 50 Tigers 40.
-
Congratulations Charles Wright 2019 BRITISH CHAMPION, from all your Somerset fans............. I think most of us could see where you perfected those moves!
-
Needed to win the pairs with Bomber!
-
Does Gary May read this forum? I think the move for Morris will do him a power of good & in turn have the desired effect on the Rebels results. Former Rebels mascot Nathan Stoneman could be a good move BUT ONLY if he has the decent machinery required for the pacy Oaktree!
-
Is it Henry or Mike Atkins that has decided? Henry has talent but he needs an unbiased experienced mentor guild him.
-
I hate to be a smart ass! but looks like I was 100% right with this one. P.S. Did they water the track before heat 15?
-
I can see Roo boy having a outstanding performance (against a poor team) ..........hoping some of the ify meetings are then forgotten about by Gary?
-
I'm told Roo Boy liked the track. Think the track was Knob free & I predicted the final score!!!!!!!! Will have to buy myself a pint!!!!!!!!
-
Will Roooooooooooooooo Boy have the track how he likes it? How many knobs will be lost on the track the tonight? Score Rebels 55 Brums 35 i.e. that's Birmingham to 20 points over 15 heats! However I would loved to be proved wrong Lawrence Rogers.............
-
If the track is like last week both teams well be looking for spare knobs for their tyres!!!!........
-
I've been saying for a while now Wholesale team changes should not be allowed during the season. Lots if reasons why not the most important the extra cost involved.........
-
Racing... Possibly the only better track in the U.K. would be Belle Vue. The O.T.A. is near to Weston Super Mare so plenty of summer tourist, might be best to try looking inland a bit, plenty of historic towns to visit? O.T.A. has its own large car park cost £2? Always best to take a coat, you can easily get caught out when the sun goes down & the sea breeze crepes in!
-
Rebels lost this because they choose their normal high gearing to start the meeting. With the track much grippier than normal the Lions were out the traps & gone! Rory is a very experienced rider & should have been on the case however Bomber is class in such conditions.
-
Sunshine forecast from 6 to 9 p.m. with natural watering earlier in the afternoon looks like perfect conditions.
-
Question: Why were Birmingham allowed to sign Adam Ellis when he already had other commitments on Wednesdays, what's worse he's your undisputed number 1.
-
I thought Wallinger & the team manager came as a double act? Atkins needs the extra rides to be on even keel with other Premier reserves, watch out for the old man Mike - nothing he doesn't know about speedway!

Somerset V Plymouth (Challenge) 12/06/2019
Ghosty replied to ellioth4's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Presentation! yes loads better than the norm......... so why don't the promoters have a seminar were all track announcers / presenters attend & we improve the presentation of meetings @ every track? it will never happen of course tooooo simple a solution & heads buried in the sand ... -
Somerset Vs Scunthorpe 29/5/19
Ghosty replied to Fozzie4388's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Taken from the Rebels website: There will be no meeting at the Oaktree on Wednesday June 5th, as originally scheduled but the following week - June 12th - the club will be staging a Somerset Select v Plymouth Gladiators Junior meeting. Admission prices will be just £10 for adults and their will be a couple of riders new to British Speedway in action that night. This will form part of our two-legged fixture with the return date planned for Friday June 28th. Better any speedway than no speedway.......Any 2 well balanced teams will produce good speedway @ the OTA. -

With 4 riders missing this fixture should have been rearranged anyway, good job the weather gods saw some common sense! -

Might be best (weather wise) to pull the plug now & use one of the many free Wednesdays?
