Your post got me thinking so did some quick Googling for the Premiership teams I wasn't aware of. Not 100% sure on accuracy but sure you'll get the gist. Will try and do the Championship ones when I get more time. Premiership Belle Vue (1928 to present) King's Lynn (1965 to present but missed 1996) Leicester (1928 to 1931, 1937, 1948 to 1962, 1968 to 1983, 2011 to present) Poole (1948 to present but missed league racing in 1957) Rye House (1974 to 1993, 1999 to present) Somerset (2000 to present) Swindon (1928 to 1929 with open meetings, team racing from 1949 to present) Wolverhampton (1928, 1951 to 1954, 1965 to present but missed 1982/3)

Imagine Belle Vue are the longest running of the presently running teams. Started in 1928 and kept running even through the Second World War (not team racing mind). Coventry also started in 1928 but didn't run during the war years and of course sadly missed out last season. Back in the National League for 2018, albeit at Leicester.

Thinking more at the top of the team rather than the bottom. Hoping I'm wrong
-
Got a feeling there will be a Danish feel to this evening's proceedings but maybe not the main Dane everyone is hoping for

What the same Ty Proctor who averaged more than Thomas Jorgensen (in the same team) who was pretty much our rider of the season? The same Ty Procter who averaged more than Heeps, Auty, Palm-Toft, Kerr, Rose, Bates & Robson amongst others. Think people are doing him a disservice. He'll know most of the Premiership tracks, seems to be a good team man and ridden very well at Lynn previously. it might work, it might not but I'm at least going to give him a chance before writing him off.
-
Will see how the season starts before criticising the side, we've got to at least give them a chance. Proctor wouldn't have been my first choice, but at least give him a fair crack of the whip. Also most of us haven't got a real idea about what to expect from Kasper Andersen. If he comes in and clicks at reserve, the dynamics of the team changes. The one thing I do hope is that if things aren't working, we are proactive with making changes. The promotion do seem overly loyal/patient with underperforming riders at times. Poole & Swindon both spring to mind in being good at strengthening during the season. We tend to limp along until changes are forced upon us through injury.
-
Don't think Manzarez is in the 1-7 though I've heard he's keen. Replace him with Lewis Rose. Lewis Kerr at reserve. Adding Iversen & Lambert is a must. I'm sure Niels will be back, all the signs point that way. Guess depends on what happens with talks with Robert.
-
Fair enough, not read the statement. Only saw the news on here. Kennett is 6.39 so that leaves 6.42 for the final one if they used him. Could fit Doyle & Morley in.
-
Top detective work sir Possibly 2+2=5 or maybe not. Just seems a bit random for him to suddenly follow 3 Lynn related accounts in one go. Think the conversion rate is 1.3 so that would make him 5.50. Means we should always have a strong reserve (either Kerr, Rose or Proctor) to partner Andersen.
-
Can't see Rye not using Harris, Nicholls & KK again. Not sure what that would leave for final two places but wouldn't be surprised to see Kennett back and maybe Morley/Perks for final reserve spot.
-
It's a moot point discussing Doyle because as I understand it, he's not coming. i also noticed a rider seemed happy on twitter yesterday and the most recent people he's followed are Dale and two (potential) new team mates. Seem to point he's in the mix for a team spot. Wont spoil the fun by naming him
-
Pretty sure Kerr will be back at Lynn next year. He all but confirmed it before deleting the tweet.
-
I believe so. Might be a tough ask for him to get near that but guess he has something about him. I can see a couple of possible connections to see why he's ended up with us. He used to be at Esbjerg who's team manager is Tom P. Madsen. Also it's Niels' Danish side. Hopefully that means that Niels recommended him and will be back to look mentor him.
-
Could be, but like Haza I've been told he's signed. Apparently he spent sometime staying at the stadium a few weeks ago. I just didn't want to to be the first to blab

Let's hope it's not just hollow words - https://www.lynnnews.co.uk/sport/king-s-lynn-stars-to-ring-changes-in-2018-1-8280432

Maybe he's referring to Drabik rather than Woryna

Looks like Lewis Kerr is back with the Stars in 2018. Running a crowdfunding page to help buy equipment - http://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/enable-lewis-to-race-in-the-uk-premiership/ "After coming back into racing last year I have been fortunate to have a couple of opportunities and now I have been offered a team place with the Stars but I need to fund my own new bike and engine. I am determined to do this and hope that you will help me on this journey and am grateful for as little or as much support as you can give. Simply the money I need to proceed is out of my reach at this time so I am looking to you to help me to succeed."

I'd say that's a pretty good hint he'll be back

No Aussies In British Speedway 2018
Speedball replied to rocketman77's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
At King's Lynn, we've had some fantastic Australian riders over the years. Jason Crump, Leigh Adams, Shane Parker, Kevin Doolan (Ricky Wallace ) etc. all served the club well and were incredibly popular with the fans. The problems come when promoters and riders can't speak to each other in a civil manner and see any point of view other than their own. There's blame on all sides for the events of that night against Poole. If both sides had acted like adults before, during and after; the whole sorry saga would have been avoided. -
New promoter coming in is my prediction. There is an obvious gap since Rob Lyon stepped down.

Kings Lynn V Swindon 02/08/17
Speedball replied to therefused's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Didn't even realise we had a meeting this week. Thought the next one was Somerset next Monday -
No I'm not saying that at all. What I'm saying is if we want to make changes, then do it. Just don't do it in a vindictive way to try and stop them from riding elsewhere. As for Batchelor, can't see why anyone is surprised. Been that way since he's been over in the U.K. He's just a mood rider and always likely to be. In understand that Robert stayed in Poland to get a medical assessment on his wrist as he thought it was broken. I see no issue with that. He's had the all clear so heads to Sweden tonight. I would have an issue if he then didn't turn up on Wednesday but sure that he will. As far as I can recall he has never messed us about and always been committed to the Stars (heat 9 last week the exception).

While I can see what people mean, I'm not sure that's how I'd want my club to go about things. It's one thing to make changes, it's another to be vindictive about them. Plus it won't fail to go unnoticed by other riders and could cause problems when trying to sign riders for future seasons.
