Alot of fans are moaning on the Leicester facebook about the practise being cancelled. Saying its been ok to practise all week but not when the fans want to come. I think its very sensible move by DH,AJ & DD to try to save the track for tomorrow. The riders are really not going to want to get mucked up for a pointless practise session when they have a match tomorrow with money at stake. Maybe these moaning fans should remember it is PRESS & Practise & as a fan they are not press so they don't even have to open the gates if they don't want to some clubs don't.

Confirmed on the lions website that Chris Popple is back next season as back up presenter to Rob Sensicall. Are fans happy about this he was dreadful when he did it last season hopefully he watched and learned at the end of last season on how to present a speedway meeting

Just seen the designs for the new jackets & hoodys. Excellent design & the logo looks very striking. But i almost fell out my chair when i saw the prices. £65 for a jacket !!!!! What planet are they on?! I thought the merchandise was getting cheaper with a new supplier carrying more stocks. The hoodys for £40 i can get a designer label hoody that will be better quality & can be worn away from speedway unlike their hoodys.

Well that was kinda my point. Hopefully with DD on board now as a promoter the speedway might actually start being promoted to the general public outside the speedway community.

Track changes complete 1 metre in entering & exiting all 4 bends. That is all Complete joke because the problems were that you have to turn the bike too hard to get round the corner

DH told me myself yesterday that the changes Glyn advised & wanted to happen were not being carried out the changes are what DH wants. He maintains we have brilliant racing at BP. DH quote was if Glyn wants those changes then he is going to have to buy the stadium off me until that point he is just an employee of Leicester speedway.

Exactly open the corners up alot to allow you to switch lines entering the corners & drive up the inside while exiting the corner the potential to go sweep back & make a long straight like Loram used to do. On current form that isn't possible at BP cuz you either hit the fence or lock up because you then have to try & turn to hard

What a joke . I went up yesterday expecting to see positive changes to the track. But what they have done is a joke. Imo the track has gone in by less the a metre entering the 1st corner & then as far as i can see the 2 corner it seems to have just reshaped . The main problem i can see the corners are still too rounded there is no chance to try & go up he inside entering the corner because its too rounded. Glyn is going to hit the roof when he gets back because he was promised track changes so signed a team of racers instead of gaters but the changes are not going to make any difference so still a gaters paradise. Just wondering what has happend to Tom. He was annouced as a starter at KL for 2013 but i have just noticed now that he is no longer in their team but i can't find any reasons why. He was a rider who caught my eye alot when he rode MDL matches at Leicester last season & someone who had alot of potential along with a nice riding style.

So Leicester are going to open the season with a challenge on Sat 16th March vs COVENTRY Thats completely stupid yeah great local rivalry & see KK & Nicholls at BP. BUT with both teams billed to be at full strength Coventry will absolutely thrash Leicester . Coventry's no 5 is a top premier league heat leader. The polish brothers vs Lewis Blackbird . The sides are so mismatched. Strikes me its all about making money off this fixture & not about preparing the team for a title challenging season. Great to start the season with a loss at home then a 2 week break.

Apology where its due in that case but My point is why have him back full stop He is awful at it & rob was 1st class.

Just to add to the debate about our promotion and how little they listen to their fans. I was told that they are bringing Chris Popple back as presenter & getting rid of Rob. This is the bloke that made us the laughing stock of the league with such poor & boring presentation . On top of telling the paying fans on the mic who voiced there opinion on the dreadful 2011 season "up yours " The amount of praise they got when they moved Rob onto the centre green along with how much the presentation improved to now bring back the person everyone disliked & complained about is an absolute joke.. Then again maybe Hemsley & Jones enjoy upsetting their fans & reading our complaints Bad move IMO

Are Berwick racing in 2013 i heard a rumour that they have serious money problems & may have to withdraw from the PL hence why they have not signed a single rider yet

Looks like a very long tail IMO Newman won't maintain that average in the main body of the team he only scored well in 2012 because he stayed at reserve all season & with only just over 3.50 left for the reserve its looking like a 2nd NL rider. Matches can be won at reserve & with 2 NL reserves i think the rebels might struggle. Between the 2 reserves they appear in 7 of the 14 races ( excluding ht 15). Thats half the races during a match hence why its vital to have at least 1 solid reserve. For that reason i think Leicester & Newcastle have stronger sides on paper

IMO having Aarnio back is a dreadful decision . I feel it may have been better going with an unknown aussie & secure him as an asset. I do fear for Sheffield again in 2013. They are building what looks another poor side. You can't afford to put a gamble like Koppe in your side on a 5.00 average then have a weak NL reserve who averages less then 6.00 in a lower level. I just hope Machin & Hoghead have a trick up their sleeve because Sheffield deserve a good side after the shower of s**t they turned out in 2012.

Seems like Glasgow have a fair few points to play with . I was delighted that the club was saved now i really hope the new owners get a good side together because i enjoy my trips to Glasgow to support the lions. If your looking for a good reserve then i would pick someone like Jari Makinen over Charles Wright everyday thoughts anyone ? Jari was solid rider for us when at reserve he scored ok but really struggled when he had to step up into the team.
